"Brian! Shut up!" I shouted, pushing him with my shoulder. Brian nudged me back as I finished the course in tenth place.
"Ye' finished in fucking tenth!" He yelled through all his laughing. His bright white smile shown as he arched back in laughter. I punched him in the arm. Seeing this side swept, brown haired, fuck face laughing at me boiled my blood.
"Can ye' stop laughing at me, yet?" I asked, shutting down the Nintendo switch.
"Oh come on! That's what I'm here f'er!" He announced, finally calming down. I looked at him with my brows raised.
"Oh really? I thought it was ta' give advice and ta' interrogate any guy I talk ta'," I assumed. He shrugged, standing up off the couch.
"That too," he admitted. He left to the kitchen where we had a bunch of snacks packed in bags and drinks in a cooler.
"Did ye' eat all the cheetos yet?" I asked. He tossed me a bag as he got a bag of irish chips for himself. I finished packing up the Switch before sitting on the couch next to him.
"Yer goin' ta' fit in just fine with the Americans," he joked. I gave him a sarcastic look, opening my bag. We ate as I looked around at the boxes. We had so much stuff we still needed to pack up.
"I hate packing," I claimed. He nodded in agreement.
"Mom and dad'll do most of it when they get home. Ye' get all yer shit from yer room packed up?" He asked, his Irish accent really standing out. I groaned.
"Do I got ta'?" I asked. He chuckled as I got up and shuffled to my room.
It was about an hour later when I finally got all my computer shit packed up along with my clothes, childish games and toys, foam wall padding, and my endless hat collection. I flopped down on my bed and started calling my friends to tell them goodbye. It didn't take long. I only had to call three guys. The only friends I had were some of Brian's friends that we played online with. I wasn't really liked in elementary school and so I didn't talk to many people in middle school.
When we finally got to high school, I started socializing more, but everyone thought I was cute due to my positivity and friendliness. I also wouldn't swear when teachers were near because I never wanted to get in trouble. Okay, that's kind of a lie. I was a bit of a prankster and jokester, but no one took any insults or pranks to heart. I stayed close to Brian since we had all the same classes and we hung out regularly.
"Howdy," I said as someone answered.
"Hey kiddo!" Joey greeted happily. I groaned at the nickname.
"Why must ye' call me that? Ye' know I'm the same age as ye'," I told him. He chuckled through the phone with his low voice.
"Yer t'eh younger twin! Do I need ta' give more explanation?" He asked. I groaned again and facepalmed myself.
"Whatever ye' say Joe," I said. He chuckled again.
"So, are ye' and Brian all packed?" He asked, his Irish accent making him sound like he was saying air instead.
"Yee. It was so boring. They need ta' create somethin' that'll pack f'er ye'," I announced.
"Too true," he agreed. I heard a sigh through the phone.
"Wish ye' guys weren't movin'," he admitted. I could feel his sadness through the phone, just by hearing his voice.
"I'm sorry. I wish there was a way ye' could come too. Ye', Ivan, and Mack. I bet we'd have so much fun there," I told him. He chuckled.
"Yeah, we would. No matter where we'd move ta', we'd find out how ta' make t'ings fun," he agreed, emphasizing the 'h' in the 'wh' words.
"Hey Shona! We're home, can ye' help us wit' all t'is?" My mom called from downstairs. I sighed before replying that I'll be down in a minute.
"Sorry Joe, I gotta go," I spoke back into my phone again.
"It's cool. Call me when ye' guysget settled in yer new home over t'ere, kay?" He asked. I assured him Iwould before hanging up. I rushed down to help my family pack up.
