Seul was finally going on that 'internship' everything was according to plan. Prince Buyeong laughed heartily as she remembered his offer a few years back. Of course he wouldn't forget his own offer!
Now, Seul is packing away to stay at Prince Buyeong's residence. She was helped by Court Lady Noh and a few court ladies.
"Your Majesty... Everything is already packed." One of the court ladies said as she bowed.
"Alright, thank you. Please send them away to the car." Seul ordered. The court ladies bowed and left, only to be left with Court Lady Noh who looked down.
"I'm just going to leave for a while... Don't be sad." Seul smiled as she held Court Lady Noh's hands.
"Your Majesty... You have just came back a few weeks ago... This is sudden..."
"I know... The thing is, I am going to visit this time! So don't worry about me, okay?" Seul assured as she hugged Court Lady Noh.
Gon sighed as he waited for Seul who was running late. He checked his watch, and waited for Seul to appear.
"Yeong-ah, go get Seul." Gon ordered, frustrated that Seul's running late.
"Yes, Your Majesty." Yeong replied as he bowed.
But as he turned to the palace doors, Seul appeared with Court Lady Noh.
"I'm here, brother!" She said cheerfully. Gon had an annoyed look on his face.
"Do you know how late you are? You should be in the highway by now." He scolded.
"Hm... What's important is that I'm here now." Seul laughed. She then hugged Gon and he hugged her back.
"I'll miss you." Gon whispered.
"I'll visit often." Seul giggled. They then broke the hug and Seul turned to Yeong.
"Please take care of my Prima!" She said. Yeong nodded.
And with that, Lee Seul went to Prince Buyeong's residence.
Prince Buyeong welcomed her with open arms, and Seul joked about arriving late. Prince Buyeong just brushed it off and they went to have lunch.
"So... This 'internship' was so sudden, Your Majesty." Prince Buyeong said as he sipped his tea.
"Yes... I wanted to learn from you because I got curious about the offer you offered me a few years ago." Seul answered with a little smile.
"Is that so..." Prince Buyeong smiled knowingly. "Because I heard from someone that apparently you are running away."
"Gon..." Seul rolled her eyes.
"I am not running away. I simply have a thirst for knowledge." Seul said as she took a bite of her lunch.
"That someone also said that you're running away because you're avoiding someone."
"... Alright I give up, there's no use hiding anything from you." Seul put her cutleries down.
She always saw Prince Buyeong as her father figure, ever since her own father died back in 1994. Court Lady Noh has always been the mother figure for her since birth. They both have always taken care of both her and Gon throughout the years.
"The truth is... I am using this as an opportunity... to move on." Seul confessed as she played with the handle of her cup.
"Move on? From whom?" Prince Buyeong asked curiously.
"Um... Uh... Jo... Yeong...?" She whispered unsurely.
Prince Buyeong had a realization.
"Ah, Yeong? His Majesty's Unbreakable Sword? The captain of the Royal Palace Guards, Jo Yeong?"
"You don't have to rub it in..."
Prince Buyeong gave a hearty laugh.
"You like him, don't you?"
"I want it to turn into 'liked'..."
"Well, I am no expert in romance nowadays but this tutelage is probably going to fill your mind with a lot of knowledge. I guarantee you won't even have time to think about anything else. So I guess this could be a good 'runaway' if you might say." Prince Buyeong added. Seul nodded.
"But Your Majesty, your mind doesn't deny what your heart really wants." Prince Buyeong advised.
Lee Seul was left confused on that specific words.
The tutelage program went very well. Seul learned the basics of medicine and first aid, but not the operation ones since she needed a degree for it, and it took 7 years for the average person to become a doctor.
Instead, she helped manage the patient charts and learned from Prince Buyeong in person. No ordinary person could have this honour, but since she's the niece to the prince and the sister to the King, well, you have to make the chances.
True to his words, Seul was kept very busy. She needed to learn a lot of terms in a short time, and there was no time to do something else as there was a lot of patients coming into the hospital.
Although Prince Buyeong was the royal family's doctor, he likes to spend time in normal hospitals and spread knowledge and happiness to the doctors and nurses alike. He's Seul's role model.
Seul visited Gon and Court Lady Noh once every three or four months along with Prince Buyeong. It has been almost a year of her tutelage program. Seul was now 24, like Yeong. It was the fourth time visiting the palace, but she always finds herself holding her breath as she braced herself, as Yeong would also be there.
She thought after a whole year of being far from him would make her forget, but at the sight of him again, standing straight next to her own brother as his Unbreakable Sword makes her wall that she built crumble down as the feelings come back.
So that's what Prince Buyeong meant...
special update cuz it's my 20th!
