Chapter 8

Ginnys POV
I walk into the new class and as my luck would have it (not that it's had much lately) McGonagall's teaching mine I stand next to Luna as McGonagall told us to stand around the box classroom so we could be put next to our soulmate.
"Hey Luna" I say
"Oh hello there Ginny" she replied in her usual airy voice
"Who is your partner, I didn't get a chance to know at the ceremony after what happened"
"Neville, which is wonderful, he understands me however he has had a few wrackspurts around him recently I'm growing to be quite concerned" she looks over to Neville, who despite going through puberty, is still the same shy kind boy I knew through Hogwarts.
"Well I'm positive he's just being Neville and everything will work out" she is still staring at him so I give her hand a reassuring squeeze and smile at her when she turns to me, Luna's always been with me. After meeting her in third year defending her from Crabbes bullying it blossomed to us being best friends. Of course I'm still close with Hermione, she was off saving the world and that's when Luna would be there to help me, even if I act tough most days what happened in first year still gets to me ( even though my family thought a hot chocolate and a hug would fix everything) Luna has helped me through every nightmare, every bad memory and every flash back through the past year and I will never be able to repay her.
"He's alright you know" Luna snapped me out of my thoughts. She was looking over at Draco, who was opposite us laughing with Zabini ,I think his name is. Draco is quite handsome when he laughs, what am I talking about it's Malfoy here.
"What do you mean." I turn my attention back to Luna
"He didn't have a choice either you know, it was Voldemort, or the death of his only loving parent his mother"
She continues "Everyone thinks he is a horrible death eater's son, but there is more to him, he would help me when I would be bullied. Not in front of people of course, but after people has left her would returns my things to me and apologise profusley and we would start conversations and he would open up and he's never got much love, sure he had money but never a family."
"Attention students" McGonagall commands
"Just give him a chance" Luna finished, in a more serious tone but still smiling at me.
Is Draco who I think he is or it just a Facade hiding a broken childhood. I will find out, I think as McGonagall starts searing people

So as we know Draco is set on Ginny falling in love with him and know Ginny is determined  to find out who he really is, will it end well?
