At first we thought we found the kid but it ended up not being him. We searched for Leo and his wareabouts for a couple of weeks until we eventually found a couple of video cameras with him running or jogging. Tony sent a flying micro camera to try and keep eyes on him what's weird is he never stopped to rest for more than a half hour. And ate to little for an average kid his age for a day, and add in all his running he should have past out on day one, and then with how skinny he already was he should be dead. He finally collapsed in an alleyway. We honestly just kind of guessed that he would go to the Starbucks. We had Tony and Sam on air stand by, Bruce on medical standby and even Clint close by.
Me and Natasha sat down in the middle of the cafe, coffees in hand waiting for news of Leo. Tony called after 15 minutes of waiting there. Leo was on his way. We were hoping to learn a bit about him before we grabbed him. I felt bad snatching a kid of course but, he seemed like a really bad person in my defense.
He walked in, and yes I've seen photos, but he was definitely unique. He had curly brown hair and tan latino skin, he was wearing a deep red shirt and black Jean's, and strangely a warn, old tool belt. He was horribly skinny his clothes were hanging heavily off his frame. He seemed incredibly subdue. Wich for some reason made me sad. In the pictures from a year ago he was incredibly happy I wonder what happened to him. He didnt seem sore or tired at all even though he slept an pavement and ran with very little breaks for days.
He talked to the barista nicely, very polite too. He used the name Aladdin wich was strange but it seemed to make him happy. Luckily I knew what the movie was about from Tony. He sat down in the way back watching everyone as if they were going to attack.
He was tapping on the wooden table which annoyed me at first then I realized it was Morse Code he was Saying: I miss you I hate you I miss you I hate you I love you I hate you I miss you good bye I looked away and whispered it to Natasha who looked back at Leo just as his name was called. He got up wished the Barista a good day and walked out leaving the blushing girl to her thoughts. Me and Natasha both got up and followed him a few meters away. He started jogging with his coffee, we didnt want to look like we were following him so we just walked fast to keep up. After awhile Natasha asked Sam to be ready to get this kid. But then we saw Leo was staring at us as he jogged, we made eye contact only for a second. But I then realised I would never forget his eyes.
Petrified with anger, fear and a lifetime of torture. They were a beautiful red brown, almost like dying embers on fresh cut wood. They were beautiful but also the scariest thing I have ever seen, they held so much pure power it could kill thousands upon thousands with a simple glare.
He sprinted and I followed, my mind seemed faraway and out of touch with reality. Natasha whisper yelled to me: Come on Steve he's getting away!
It snapped me out of my pensive. I zigzagged after the small boy until he squeezed in between a dumpster pushed upon a wall and another wall on the otherside with a small ladder hooked onto a warehouse.Natasha called Sam and Tony for help and quickly explained the situation to the two. She also called in Clint who was on standby and vented about Leo's increaible speed and asked for help.
"Clint will be on standby with the sleeping darts."I hope you liked it!
