Unpacking was taking forever. We had finished unpacking all the bedrooms, the kitchen and a bit of the living room.

I wonder what would have happened if we didn't go out to dinner. We would have had our house, we wouldn't have had to spend so much money on new furniture and...

"Mommy ..." I jumped at Violet's voice, snapping me out of my thoughts.

" What is it hunny?" I asked bowing to her level of hight.

" I can't find Lana, my barbie doll". She added.

" It's probably in one of the boxes I put in the attick, I'll go check you run to your room, I'll bring it for you okay" I ruffled her hair then pointed to her room.
She nodded then jogged to her room

I sighed then walked up to the attick. I thought about our last house but quickly brushed it off knowing that it'll set of my anxiety.

After some time I finally found Vee's doll. "There you are " I got up and accidentally knocked down a pile of boxes.

"Shit.." I cursed at the sound of broken glass that spread on the floor. It was David's old cups that he got from his students for being a great lecturer. I chuckled at one that read ' Stay bright and humorous for the world ' and had a winky emoji at the end.

But something caught my eye, and it wasn't the light that reflected from the glass to me. It was something behind the fallen boxes. It was a small door. I walked over to it and saw that it was locked. Normally I would have wiggled and jiggled the lock but I remembered the keys that came with the house. " I bet they the keys to this door are there" I thought to myself then quickly picked up the doll and started for the attick stairs.

As soon as I held the stair case latch a weiry feeling filled the room and I saw a shadow figure form on the door and as soon as I turned around my jaw dropped along with the doll.
