Chpt. 21:The Death Of Hailey Montgomery

It was a Sunday morning so they didn't have school as there were reporters at the hallway Artemis and her friends tried to avoid it as possible she was slightly annoyed by the reporters as all they care about is getting information into the other reporters won't get.

They were always running to Artemis getting in her way which irritated her so much but of course she will just say"They are working further and the information is confidential. "with that she walked off.

She glared at the thought as then Artemis had invited her friends for a meeting at her house she had a mini basement as for Jessica and Dylan's relationship they broke up as Jessica was being too controlling and Dylan never liked that.

Jessica never cared about the breakup and just went on being herself throwing herself to guys and all.

Artemis haven't got the sleep she always wanted but she didn't care she was so gonna drive herself to that edge of her limits more than anything she was still finding the connection of how her mother could have been killed and what are the connections of the blackmailing and how is it connected by how Darryl, Lily and Hailey was and what connects these three people.

She was marking each photo on her board and connected it with red yarn and pinned a new photo it was Nicholas's and Detective Tross and also a picture of Detective Montez.

And for the record she had a lot of caffeine in her body she was never taking a day off she hadn't even bothered to go upstairs to have dinner,lunch,or even breakfast she would only get food upstairs whenever she wants but not a word will be heard from her.

Her father and step-mom was quite worried about her but Stacey helps her cover up saying its some science project she's working on and that they have a lot of homework she's working on and at times she will come up greater excuses as what Artemis just told Stacey.

Stacey has no idea on where Artemis is really in but what she dosent know artemis never left the house and she was just under a few floors below at the basement as her small base.

As then James and Dylan came at Artemis's home and was welcomed by Helena with open arms asking why they were there it was around 6:00 in the evening as she thought of what they might do or why would Artemis would invite someone at the night.

James and Dylan was allowed to walk in the house by Helena and they made there way immediately to the hidden basement Artemis had all to herself ever since she was a little girl.

"Finally you guys made it."Artemis says as she took a sip of her coffee and shot the two guys a very plain stare.

The two took a seat opposite her"So what's the plan???"James asks as he was all into the rescue mission.

"How do you even know they were kept in there?"Dylan asks about the junk yard where the old cats are getting crushed into pieces and some were used as spare parts.

"Because the police were too stupid not to look there.. I heard noises one time.. I went with Nicholas yesterday night at 3:00 am.. And..he said no one was there... Do you think he works for Jessica?"Artemis questions the two.

"It's not that impossible..I mean Jessica was acting weird all the time... And All. "James says as for Dylan he just nodded in agreement.

"So this is a map of Kentwood. Basically we will call the police for back up Detective Martinez. He said he would gladly help us.."Artemis says.

"I don't think it's a good idea.. I mean this is a rescue mission.. Anything could go wrong...because this is just a really crazy idea."Dylan says.

Artemis was getting pissed off she hadn't even got to sleep the following days as she was planning to find Hailey "I don't care if it would cause my life! All that matters is finding Hailey alive..because I know my brother...is alive.."Artemis says as she broke down into tears Dylan had placed a hand on her shoulder but she shooked it away "Just don't. "she says warningly and Dylan didn't object.
