"Rumor has it you and Michael Clifford made out in the janitor's closet
last week."
I raised an eyebrow at Luke, "Excuse me?"
"Yeah. Apparently that cute gay couple in the year above us-"
"Louis and Harry?"
"Yeah them. They were walking by and saw you two come out looking pretty flushed."
I sigh, "And I guess they thought it would be a good idea to tell everyone what they assumed?"
Luke gaped, "So you were in the closet!" he turned to run off to tell Calum and Ashton no doubt.
I grabbed his arm, "Not like that, though."
Luke scoffed, "What other way is there? You weren't talking because Michael Clifford doesn't talk."
I sighed again, "It's hard to explain. I'll talk to you later okay? And don't go spreading rumors."
Luke gave me a look, "I don't know why you can't just tell me now."
I let out a groan, "Because I can't, Luke."
"Sure, whatever, Beth." He walked away and I huffed. It wasn't that big of a deal, so I don't know why he was so upset that I wouldn't tell him what we were doing. Even if I did tell him, he would never believe me. Not to mention how incredibly pissed off Michael would be if he found out. I knew Luke would probably bring it up at lunch, so when I walked into the cafeteria, I walked past Ashton at our table and sat down beside Michael across the room. As soon as he noticed me, he got up to leave.
"No, Michael, we need to talk."
He pulled out a piece of notebook paper and scrawled out not here.
"Michael just listen to me first."
He pursed his lips and nodded.
"Okay so someone saw us leave the janitor's closet after we talked last week and now everyone thinks we did stuff."
He stared at me for a few seconds before writing something else down. As soon as he finished, he got up and walked out of the cafeteria. I picked up the paper and read what he had written.
Is that such a bad thing?

okay to be clear, it's not moving to fast bc there's like a lot of stuff that's got to happen first aND michael has some serious issues he needs to work out before he's ready to date or anything
