"Why do you think I'm good at diplomacy? Do you not remember I almost started a war years ago?"

Taehyung follows his brother like a pup following its mother going to who knows where. Seokjin kept his hands behind his back to refrain himself from hitting his annoying brother and his irritating pleas.

They were discussing about talking to the eldest prince (Jimin) of the Middle Kingdom in hopes to making another treaty since they were the main party of their trade. The treaty will help regulate merchants who smuggles illegal goods and hurts their well balanced economy; Seokjin needed stricter restrictions and harsher punishments to make sure no one would dare break the rules. He needed Taehyung to talk to Prince Jimin because he had another business important business to deal with.

"Taehyung, I don't have the energy to deal with your whining today."

"But brother, why can't you meet Prince Jimin yourself? The last time him and I had an interaction, he battered me by saying I needed babysitting."

Seokjin cocked his eyebrows. "Oh, did he?"

"Yes, he did." Taehyung smiled from the thought that he was finally getting his older brother on the same boat as him.

"How dreadful..." Seokjin smirks. "I'll device a conference with him and ask him why he couldn't have recommended that sooner!"

Taehyung clenched his fists hard that his knuckles turned ghostly white from his older brother's unwillingness of cooperation even though he wasn't cooperating himself. His eyes twitched, "You're a pain in the ass."

"And you're the human version of a headache."

As Seokjin scanned Taehyung's face for a reaction to his perfect retort, silence hung the air like a rope on its last strings that was slowly being gnawed by a rat. He expected Taehyung to say something back in the same manner he'd been doing this whole entire time, but he did none of those things. Instead, Taehyung accompanied Seokjin to the library, placing books (that Seokjin finished) back to its original place.

"You can't run away from your responsibilities every time father or I assign you a task, Taehyung. Please understand that you'll be doing this more often since you're well grown already. Don't be lazy."

"I dislike the sound of 'lazy', it doesn't have a nice ring to it," Taehyung spoke. "I prefer saying it as 'selective participation'."

For the second time today, Seokjin rolls his eyes. His gaze scans the spine of the books, reading the titles before picking out the one that fits his interests. In a blink of an eye, Taehyung felt a sharp and heavy blow on his chest, finding that Seokjin had shoved the book onto him without slight hesitation.

"You should read that, I find the author's poems intriguing to read," Seokjin said. "You should use that brain of yours to read other than to dictate your body to only sleep, eat, and repeat."

Taehyung scoffed then brought his attention to the book that had several hundred white pages. He could tell this piece is filled with the wisdom of the author's soul, it's feelings of love, great knowledge, and a lifetime of meditative contemplation.

'This looks and sounds so boring...' he thought.

"Hey, want to hear a poem, brother?" Taehyung asks mischievously as a wonderful thought sprang from the back of his head. "Roses are red, I'm going to bed. And now that we're done, you can confront Prince Jimin as one."
