BLACK LIVES MATTER

On May 25, 2020 an innocent man by the name of George Floyd was killed by a white police officer. "I can't breathe" were his last words. He was unfortunately a victim of police brutality.

Police brutality has been going on for years. And it hasn't changed. We must not stay silence about this topic. We must take action and make sure those officers are charged and thrown in jail.

Racism has been around for centuries. And what disgusts me is that it's the 21st century and people are either making racist remarks about someone or making jokes that seem funny to them but it's racist to other people.

One thing I want to address is the protests. (DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying all protests were violent)

There were some violent protests that takes everything to a very dangerous level. They beat people up and loot stores and houses. The other night in my home town, there was a tweet stating, they were going to protest and shout "F**K THE CITY" and loot the mall and the homes that surround the area. And what was scary about that was that I live 30 seconds away from the mall they were going to protest at. But luckily, no ones houses got looted and no one got hurt. But those "protests" weren't protests at all. It's turning into riots. It's making things worse by promoting violence with more violence. And I don't think that's what would George would want that.

I believe in equality for everybody and I believe black lives DO matter. But it shouldn't be an excuse to rob a Louis Vuitton store and beat up a white guy. That's not what this should be about! It should be about coming together and supporting the movement.

I would like to know your opinions on this. But please know any racist remarks or jokes about George Floyd's death will be DELETED
