The Secret

It had been a couple of hours since Jax found out Amber was his daughter. You was all in the club getting on with the night. You couldn't help but laugh as Amber clung onto Opie's back.

"So she really Jax's?" Chibs asked passing you a beer.

"Yeah she is, you must think I'm horrible Chibs keeping her from him. I found out not long after I moved away after walking in on him with another girl" you sighed.

"I'm not gonna judge you lass, you did what you felt was right but you two definitely need to sit down and talk this out" he smiled softly.

"I know" you nodded "I wasn't gonna tell him like this but you know what kids are like"

He was about to say something when he nodded towards the doors as Jax walked in.

"Go talk to him" he smiled as he got up and walked away.

You just sat there watching everyone having a good time when you felt someone sit down next to you.

"We need to talk darlin'" Jax mumbled. "But not here, does she know I'm her dad?"

"Not as such, she knows her dad is friends with her uncle ope and he is a biker but she doesn't know it's you" you sighed.

"I want to see her" he said with a slight smile on his face causing you to push yourself up to go find ope.

"Can I steal my girl a sec?" You laughed opening your arms to Amber who jumped into your arms wrapping her arms round your neck. "I want you to meet someone baby"

"Momma is that my daddy?" She asked as you got closer to Jax.

"Yes baby he is your daddy" you whispered not wanting to lie about it any more "he wants to meet you is that okay?"

"Yeah" she nodded as you placed her on her feet.

To your surprise she literally pounce on Jax wrapping her tiny arms around him. Jax was shocked at first but he melted into the hug holding amber tight to him.

Just watching Jax and Amber together brought so many emotions up, tears started building in your eyes, you needed to clear your head. Quickly taking a picture of the two as it was cute you headed outside and up to the roof top.

After about an hour Jax climbed up the ladder.

"Thought I'd find you up here" he chuckled offering you a smoke.

"Thank" you nodded placing it between your lips. "You wanna talk?"

"I just want to know why you kept Amber from me" he sighed "then I can try and piece everything together"

"Okay I guess it all started the day I walked in on you screwing that blonde chick" you sighed "I couldn't take the humiliation of it so I bailed, thinking you didn't love me, I was 20 and didn't know what the hell I was meant to do. A couple of days after I had moved I found out I was pregnant and I was scared everything happened so fast and I didn't know how to process it"

"It broke my heart when you left" he sighed.

"How do you think I felt walking in on you, I understand we had been together since I was 16 but I needed to get away from you" you sighed as a single tear rolled down your cheek.

"So why did you keep Amber a secret?" He whispered taking your hand in his.

"I guess I wanted her to have a better life, away from all of this but knew that wouldn't happen as dad and ope would visit when they could so ever since she was born she has been around the club" you said staring at the night sky. "She actually found the box of stuff I kept under my bed and came running out in one of you shirts I stole which lead to going through the box with her and I dunno I guess my heart told me it was time to come clean"

"And her surname? You hyphenated it?" He said with a soft smile.

"I'm not a bitch Jax, I don't know why I did it, I guess I still wanted something of you to be part of her life, every day I look at her I get a reminder of you and the heartbreak because let's face it she looks like her daddy, same blue eyes I love and that fucking smirk that made me fall in love with you" you whispered as a single tear rolled down your cheek.

Feeling his calloused hand touch the side of your cheek wiping the tear away you sighed.

"I kinda understand why you ran, I cheated on you, broke your heart and mine in the process. We was both young and let's face it kinda stupid" he half laughed draping his arm around your shoulder pulling you into his side. "I don't want to get angry at you, I've missed so much of her life I don't want to miss any more"

"She needs her daddy, I've never seen her this happy before, she was a bit nervous when we first got here but it seems she has wrapped everyone round her little finger in a short space of time" you laughed leaning your head on Jax's shoulder.

"That's the Teller in her" he laughed as you lit another smoke up. "You got a place to stay whilst you are here?"

"Was gonna stay in ope's dorm" you said.

"Stay at my house, I can stay here" he whispered.

"You sure?"

"Yeah I'm sure it will be better than crashing here" he laughed "how long are you staying?"

"Honestly Jax I don't know" you mumbled taking a drag on your cigarette. "I miss this place so fucking much, this is my home you know"

"Move back for good then darlin', like I said I don't want to miss anymore of Ambers life" he said playing with your hair.

You didn't say anything, you didn't know what to say, Jax was the love of your life and you didn't know if you could take seeing him everyday. You both just sat on the rooftop for hours, his arm wrapped around your shoulder as you stared at the stars trying to figure out what the next move would be.
