Ag's POV
We walked down the busy halls of the school. Things have been different to say the least. Obviously Alex's reputation barely was interrupted by the expose. I expected worse if I'm honest, but I didn't have any worry about getting exposed.
Michael took a hit with his, because his was illegal stuff. Alex's expose was just highschool drama. Honestly I didn't feel like it was worse than Michaels. I really felt like this was being overhyped.
"Should I be worried?"
"About what? Anonymous? Why would you?"
"Ag we both know I'm not perfect..." Except you are, but I'm too afraid to tell you that. I'm too afraid to say how perfect your smile is. I too afraid to say how happy I am to see you everyday. I'm too afraid around you because you're more perfect than anyone.
"You basically are. Alex's life barely changed from the other day."
"That's not true at all. For starters I'm mad at her. How could she not tell me about her and Christen like of course I suspected something was up, but still we're always open with each other."
"You know everythings gonna be okay right?" I placed my hand on the right side of her ribs and rubbed her side lightly.
"Thanks."
"I am ANONYMOUS. I am with the unpopular. I am against heirarchy. The toxic highschool system of popularity will be destroyed before I disappear. Brooklyn Morgan, here we go."
Brooklyn took a deep breath and looked at me worried. It's as if she knew what was about to happen already.
"What do you start off for when it comes to the most perfect popular kid. The only perfect thing about Brooklyn Morgan is her skill of hiding things."
She began to pull away but I followed after her continuing to listen to the video. What was so bad that was about to happen?
"Brooklyn?"
"Ag I don't want to be in there when everyone finds out..." She looked at me uneasy as we now stood outside as the video continued.
"Ironic that you run away with Ag McDaniels right now, since you are hooking up with her and Brian H Whittaker. You have the varsity quarterback and that's still not enough for you?"
"Wait I'm not the only one..." She bit her bottom lip as the video continued.
"Or maybe this photo will bring back a good memory since you quite frequently like go kiss your teammates. Mallory Pugh is the victim of not one, but two of these situations. Sophia Smith doesn't realize what monster she was kissing that day."
I watched as her eyes began watering and she crossed her arm while staring at the ground and continuing to listen to the video.
"As a freshman you sleep around, but as a middle schooler you were secretly one of the biggest bullies. You pushed a girl down a full staircase breaking things in her bag. Little did you know that was the first week she had a laptop after saving up for months. What would you know about strain on money."
I watched the video play. This didn't even seem like Brooklyn. She wasn't like this. Brooklyn never wanted to hurt anyone. I never saw this in Brooklyn.
"You fat shamed a girl. You told a boy he should just commit suicide. Maybe you're not as nice as everyone seems. You are a terrible perfect person."
"Did you actually...?"
"It must be easy to be a perfect student athlete when you pay other students to do your homework for you. Atleast you aren't shooting your arm with drugs like your close friend. That's it for this time. Brooklyn Morgan, you are officially cancelled."
"I'm done for." She placed her hands on head and began to walk away tears rushing down her face.
"Hey hey hey, its going to be okay."
"Ag I can't stay here right now. I can't breathe..."
"I umm..." I didn't know what to do. I love her and she's probably just using me. How am I supposed to help her and more importantly why should I?
"Come on. I'll drive you home." I pulled her towards my car as she broke down into tears.
We drove in silence for awhile. Every time I looked over she was just looking straight out of the front window tears rolling down her face.
"Why'd you do any of it?"
"I couldn't answer you even if I tried. I can't figure out why I do anything honestly."
"You do realize I have actual feelings towards you right?" She nodded silently. "And you don't for me..." She shook her head and took a deep breath in.
"I never said that."
"But you won't admit it-."
"AG YOU REALLY THINK THIS IS THE BEST TIME FOR THIS?!"
"THEN WHEN IS? Why not talk about it when everything else is coming out?! IM FALLING IN LOVE WITH A GIRL THAT APPARENTLY I DONT TRULY KNOW!"
"Don't..."
"If I could control that I wouldn't ever fall for you, but I can't." I can't control who I find perfect even through all those things said in the video I didn't care. She's all that's ever on my mind.
"Am I allowed to ask you some things?"
"Right now?" She finally looked over at me. Her facial expressions was annoyed but soft.
"Later."
"Of course." We pulled into her driveway and she sighed. "Do you want me to leave?"
"No...but I'm afraid if you stay..."
"You won't hurt me more than I am right now."
"Thanks I definitely needed to hear that right now." She wiped a tear from her cheek and I sighed. "That's not what I meant..."
She opened her car door and I ran around to grab her bag for her. She opened the large doors to the Morgan manor. Such a perfect person in a perfect life actually not at perfect yet she was still perfect to me...
"Come on." She pulled me up the tall winding staircase and pushed me onto her bed. Getting on top of me and falling asleep on my chest as I slowly tucked her hair behind her ear.
If only a moment like this came at a different time.
