Chapter 12. Footsteps.

~third person's POV~

"Another flash...?" you ask Nathan. "Yeah...I'm sorry to say, you have a stalker," Nathan replies, seriously. You sob harder and Nathan comforts you.

"Shhhh, it's ok Y/N," Nathan says, comforting you. "N-No! I-It won't be ok!" you stutter. "Y/N. Look at me. It's going to be fine," he insists. You sob into his shoulder as he holds you tight.

The teacher closes the blinds and walks out of the room. As the teacher walks out of the room, you feel a cold breeze and you shiver a bit.

~30 minutes later~

You're in a class with Nathan and hear a door opening. You decide not to mind it and focus your attention back to class. As the teacher wrote down some notes, you write them down as well.

You notice something like someone is watching you. As you look around, you notice Nathan staring at you. You blush slightly as he quickly turns away. You then scan the room again and see a shadowy figure looking at you through the window.

You seem something is off and ask to go to the bathroom. Luckily, there aren't any windows in there. As you walk through the halls, you see something at the corner of your eye. You jump and see something walk back into the shadows.

You walk towards the principal's office and knock on the door. The principal opens the door and says "Oh, hello Y/N. How may I be of assistance?" "Umm, well, I believe you have heard of my stalker...? I keep seeing a black figure staring at me. Can you, maybe, close all of the blinds in the school?" you explain to the principal. "I'm sorry, but I have to decline the request," they say as you go silent. "Oh...ok," you finally respond as you walk away.

You then walk back to class and see a black figure still staring at you. You find it really creepy and so you walk back to your seat. As you sit down, you feel a chill go down your spine.

You keep trying to pay attention to class but you keep focusing on the dark figure staring at you through the window.

You stare back and couldn't help but notice it's really tall. It sort of glows, although you don't know what's causing the light.

Suddenly you hear someone calling your name. It appears to be Nathan, saying that the class ended. You jump up and blurt "OH MY! I'M SO VERY SORRY!" You and Nathan scurry out of the classroom and walk into your next class.

You take a seat and try and pay attention to this class. Fortunately, you succeed in focusing on your classes.

~Nathan's POV~

God...I feel so sad for Y/N. She has a stalker. What do I even tell Nightmare and Dream? I have to either invite them over one by one or make Y/N go there and tell them herself.

I hope she's going to be fine. "Hey, Y/N!" I softly whisper to her. "Yes, Nathan?" she whispers back. "How are you feeling?" I whisper, trying not to be rude. "O-Oh, I'm fine Nathan. You don't have to worry about me all of the time," she whispered to me with a smile.

I take a sigh of relief and return to my work. I keep working but can't help but notice Y/N reading her book. She looked so calm even though she was freaking out a few minutes ago.

I stared at her for what felt like hours. She looked so peaceful. I love her so much. I want her all to myself. I'd do anything to protect her, even if it means to die.

Suddenly, it was 10:00 am and we switched classes. She looked so at ease, she looked better than her goddess self. I really hope she's ok. Even though she has been through these tough times, she still manages to keep a smile on her face.  I wish I was as tough as her sometimes, but then I remember. I must never show her my weak side. I have to be her prince in shining armor. She and I should be meant for each other.

I really hope she's ok and not hurt. I know how it feels to have a stalker because I've had one myself. It was really scary because I never knew if they were going to lunge out at me. That's the scary part.

While in class, I started to stare at Y/N again. Then, she caught me, so I instinctively turned away.

Suddenly, Y/N and I hear on the intercom, "EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATE LOCKDOWN!" Y/N and I dash to the side of the classroom along with the other kids so we don't get caught. We immediately hear footsteps outside the door of the classroom as we quiet down and cover our mouths.
