Chapter 5. Nightmare and Dream.

~Y/N's POV~

It's the same person from before. They say "Hey, where are you headed?" "Somewhere, freak," I say. "Oh so 'little missy' over here wants to be rude, huh?" they say. They're wearing everything black, a black beanie, black hoodie, black mask, black glasses, black sweatpants, and black gloves. They're holding a black flashlight, too.

I make a disgusted face at them. I look at Nathan, grab his hand and wrap it around me so he faces me. I tell him I'm scared and he hugs me.

~third person's POV~

The person said, "Oh god. Are you guys lovers? It's disgusting! Just like her." You spit out, venom lacing your words "Is that black? Like a garbage bag? It's like you." You and Nathan start laughing at your comeback as you continue walking to meet Dream and Nightmare.

You eventually reach Dream and Nightmare and they greet you.

"Hello, how are you Y/N?" Nightmare says. "Look! I got a note on my locker at school!" You hand over the note to Nightmare and Dream and they read it.

"Wow Y/N, Someone fell for you hard!" Dream laughs. Nightmare seems a bit off. Could he be jealous? You don't think so, he's probably thinking about who it could be, or he's being over-protective of you.

You see that Nathan's cheeks turn pink. You smile at him and feel your face getting hot. You like him.

You feel something pushing against you, moving you closer to Nathan. You both feel your faces get even warmer.

~Nathan's POV~

I feel a strong urge to kiss Y/N but I'm not sure why. I want to, but something keeps me from kissing her. I don't know what.

"Y/N?" I say, "D-did you move closer, or was it me?" "W-well uh.." Y/N stutters. "I d-don't know."

"While you guys are 'not flirting', I'm over here enjoying the show~," Dream said. "D-Dream?!" Y/N exclaims. "What? I'm watching you two flirt–" "We are not flirting! Y-You, You idiot!" Y/N exclaims.

We kept talking, Y/N, and I still blushing a little. Y/n and I noticed it was dark, so we left. On the way back I put my arm around Y/N and pulled her in closer to me. She was blushing madly at this point. I kissed her forehead again and her face looked as bright as a tomato.

Wow, she's so cute...I want her on me...Nathan! You idiot. Don't have your fantasies now! You're with Y/N at the moment.

"Hey, uh, Y/N?" I ask. "Yes, Nathan?" Y/N asks. "Who do you think wrote that note?" I ask, shakily. "Uhm, actually I'm not sure. Who do you think wrote it, Nathan?" Y/N asks. "Well, it's your opinion that truly matters." I blurted out. Y/N mumbles something and laughs. I wonder what she said. I didn't think of it. "Y/N? Who's your favorite person?" I ask, wanting to know more and more about her. "Well, uh..." Y/N sputters but doesn't finish her sentence. "It's fine if you don't want to tell me, you don't have to," I say.

We eventually reach Y/N's house. "Thanks again Nathan, for walking me home. I appreciate it." Y/N says as she smiles at me. "Yeah, your welcome Y/N," I say.

I walk away from Y/N's house waving good-bye to her. I feel as if I should stay for some reason. I think otherwise because I think it's just a feeling.

I walk to my house, open the door, and see my younger brother standing in the doorway. He's 6 years old and shouldn't be trying to open the door. I didn't think of that. "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" I ask as I laugh.

"Uh-oh!" he says, disappointed. I laugh more as I pick him up to bring him to my mom.

My mom then orders me to put him down and so I do. "Hey, mom? How did you meet dad?" I ask, looking for advice. My mom responds "Why do you sound interested now? Did you meet someone?" "Uh no? I just wanted to know." I hesitantly say.

I suddenly hear a knock on the door. I go to open the door and notice its Y/N. "Y/N? What're you doing here?" I ask. "Hey, Nathan! I'm here because I heard footsteps in my house and I saw a random flash..." Y/N says, scared. "What? Really?" I ask. "Yeah, uh, can I maybe stay here for the night?" Y/N stammers, still scared. "Mom? Can she?" I ask, hoping for her to say yes.
