Chapter 2:

~ Kaiden's POV~

Kaiden jumped through his bedroom window in the abandoned church he knew the elders where wondering where he had been but would deal with them later he had to think about the vampire hunter. The one he could not bring himself to kill even though she was completely under his control by compulsion. The beautiful pale girl with long thick black loose hair and black eyes that where like a pool of dark water that you could drown in, dressed all in black his age or a little younger. Very young for a vampire hunter, she should still be in school he thought. Very young to be next in throne and so sweet, strong, and powerful. He thought of her compulsion even weaker then his made him stagger though he never showed it.

"Why was I so weak I should have just killed her, she was under my influence" he said but he couldn't not with her eyes on him those dark black rivers for eyes. He would have drained her dry too just like he had the other hunters he had taken down before. He had put her under his magic but her will was strong and she was very strong in her power too.

"Uggh why can't I stop thinking about her" he said rubbing his temples and going to sit down on the couch.

"Thinking of who?" one his brother Nathan said walking into his room.

"Who the hell invited you in here" he said venom in his words.

"Hey I don't need permission and don't get pissy with me" he said in a playful tone.

"And who's this "her" you can't stop thinking about." He looked at his brother with his ghost white hair pale skin and same eyes as him. Then deciding on his question spoke.

"Ok this is going to sound really gay but you have to keep it a secret?"

"Which thing is gay you saying secret or the answer"

"Me saying secret and that doesn't matter can you"

"Well yeah I mean I am your younger brother and if I don't you will pound me"

"Ok follow me we need to get into the elders file database." he said practically jumping off the couch and motioning his brother to his computer. It was a laptop and practically did all the work. When they had finely hacked in he spoke.

"Ok look at this " he said typing in her name a picture popped up it was recent too she was in the rain on a building her damp and scruffy hair sticking onto her neck drenched in rain but still had a tent of curl to it, Jason could still remember how it felt in his hands. It had her description age rank as a predator latest sighting what clan power placement and ECT. His brother read it out loud.

"Mistress Screanaleah Sophiallia Resinneion age 17 rank: 2. In New York. recent Sighting Park two weeks ago killed 16 known of our kind next in line for the throne clan are the Resinneions red rank; what's this have to do with the girl you can't stop thinking about"

His brother gulped down and spoke.

"This is the girl" he said regretfully.

~ Screana's POV~

Screana leaned against the SUV her leg on the tire as the two buff guys loaded the three vampire hunters that where injured in the back of the van, as the orange haired girl stood beside her in a guarded pose. When they where finally done one of them spoke to her it was one of the buff dudes. Screana examined him he was young probably 3 year older than her, he was wearing all black. His hair was brown and wavy to his chin. As she was examining him he spoke.

"Mistress Screanaleah we were sent here by hunter Malcolm to bring you back to the mansion, did you get hurt at all in your expedition?" he asked eyeing her too.
