The next couple of days breezed by. After I had finally furnished my essay for my English course, I had nothing to do but take notes as usual in class and occasionally finish some assignments based off of the syllabuses.
I wasn't hanging out too much with my friends, just because I didn't want to burn out in their company before we could do what we've planned.
Spring break was coming up and we were planning on going on a camping trip up to Rocky Grove. The place was usually packed full of campers and tents, making it was nearly impossible to reserve an open spot. Lance, however, said he knew a place we could get in without paying, or worrying about other people around.
While breaking the rules was way out of my league, I trusted him.Yes, I admitted it, I trust Lance Baker.
I guess you could say we've bonded over the last week, just because I didn't have any work to do so Lance was the closest person around to pass the time with. I learned some new things about him too.
His favorite color is emerald green.
His favorite food is chicken and rice.
His favorite drink is monster energy.
His favorite pastime is painting.
His favorite animal is a quail.Of course that stuff is stupid, why would anybody need to know a persons favorite animal?
I just found it cool that he trusted me enough to open up about some of his things, no matter how insignificant they are.I mainly let him talk about himself though, since he seemed to love it so much. I found it a little annoying. I hate talking about myself. It's boring.
Lance isn't as boring as I thought though.
In all honesty I could listen to him talk for hours on end and never get bored. When I first met him I thought he was just one of those bastard drunkards that hang out with their friends and have sex. Apparently I was wrong.
Lance is.. Actually pretty cool.
That's why we decided on a trip to go on together, just to get off campus for a little while. Of course we wouldn't be alone together.
That's weird.
Though I wouldn't mind if we were.
As of right now, Lance and I are packing up the site essentials. Sleeping bags, hammocks, tents, blankets, pillows, all that stuff.
Cassidy, Julianna, and Rylee are on food. I can only imagine what they're going to pack into that cooler.
Miguel and Eric are on the hiking equipment and tools. They'll be packing the flashlights, the mobile grill, the radio, and the fishing stuff.
Darren, Taylor, and Vinny are going to be what allows us to get in.
Apparently Taylor has a van that's big enough to hold all our stuff, including us.
Vinny's dad is the parks lead ranger, so we can get in for free. And Darren-
Well I don't know what Darren's job is.
We're supposed to be leaving in a half an hour, after most of campus is emptied for students going to see their family's and such.
Taylor said we could beat traffic if we left at around 4:30- then we'd be able to get up to Rocky Grove by about 6:00.
Yes of course I planned out our schedule.
