this is the story of ariana gucciardi.
ariana is the only child of giancarlo and anna gucciardi. her mother is australian, being the sister of andy hemmings, making both luke and ariana cousins. ariana's father, being italian, found the trio settling down in italy.
once a year for the holidays, the family flew to australia to spend time with their family there. despite the distance, luke and ariana always shared a close bond. however, when ariana was seventeen, everything changed, as that was when her dad passed away. after his passing was when her mother made the decision to move back home.
back to sydney, australia.
ariana was dragged along with her, and she hated the concept of having to leaving italy, of leaving her home. moving across the world, leaving her life behind. the only good thing to come of this was that she would be spending more time with luke.
luke loved the idea of now having ariana around all the time. however, he had grown paranoid of his friends being around her. as far as they were concerned, ariana was simply luke's hot cousin.
ariana is an interesting seventeen year old. quiet, kept to herself, and most importantly to every guy that looked her way, single. she was gorgeous, no one could deny that (especially luke's friends), enabling luke's shameless protection over the girl.
the cousins prepared for ariana's first day at school. she braced for the impact her social anxiety would take, simply not feeling comfortable around new people. being italian comes with the territory of being both loud and social. while this may had been true for ariana from time to time, the girl was simply quiet as a mouse. it was strange for a girl of her heritage, but was just who she was. collectively, this brings us to where we are now, where the real story begins.

she hated feeling threatened and being lied to. she wanted to be told the flat out truth. trust issues come with baggage, and ariana channeled those frustrations into a protective nature. the same way luke was protective of her was how ariana felt about her family as a whole.
and she didn't fuck around when it came to her family.
