Every year, a Halloween Ball was celebrated. It was more of a glorified costume party held at the sports hall where everyone got together and dressed up.
The decorations took the whole month to prepare and it should be noted that it was worth it. The place was dimly lit with neon lights and pumpkins as well as ghost lanterns and many other spooky decorations. Black and orange balloons decorated the walls and there seemed to be glitter of the same colours everywhere.
Several tables were laid out around the room, bursting with drinks and bowls full of candy. A DJ wannabe always set his table right at the front of the stage and huge speakers were on either side of him, along with those placed in the corners of the room.
Outside, the decorations were pretty much the same: spider webs everywhere along with hanging bats and pumpkins all around the place.
Everyone usually attended this party but the teachers, who just kept an eye out from the building nearby, only interfering if a fight broke out or something major happened.
This year, everything seemed particularly scary. It wasn't the decorations or the costumes. It wasn't even the ambience. Just the thought of the killer walking around in the same room as them was enough to give everyone chills.
