It had been two weeks since Loki had invited me to the royal Asgardian ball and his plus one. I was so glad that I had finally found love in somebody that I could trust. Little did I know that things weren't going to be as easy as I thought they would.

I paced up and down in my sleeping quarters nervously, trying to ease off the stress. I had been doing that all day, and I wasn't going to stop until I had thought of the perfect way of greeting my plus one, who was secretly my crush. "Oh darling." Mother tried to help, only making matters worse. "It will be alright. I remember my first time having to welcome everybody to the ball. All you have to do is-" but I cut her off.
"It is not that Mother." I interrupted. "It is just... Well... With Father... Did you ever like him secretly and not tell him?" I was blasted. My secret was out. "Oh for Valhalla's sake Loki. Now she is going to ask you all sorts of awkward and embarrassing questions!" I thought to myself.
"Loki." She said softly. "Of course. Everybody does when they first meet their true love. Otherwise, how else would the person that you like know that you were in love them, and who knows? Maybe they like you too!" I smiled at her response. She had somehow managed to comfort me and keep me calm for what was almost my entire life.
"Thank you Mother." I said as she kissed me gently on the forehead.

I was so excited! I had a little reminders list in a hidden pocket in my dress. I read it through. It said:
Brush teeth: Check
Put on dress: Check
Put on makeup: Check
Tie hair back: Check
There was only two boxes that I couldn't tick until I had returned from the ball.
Find Prince Loki:
Stay calm:
"Why me though?" I kept asking myself in my head. Then I found myself having an argument with my conscience. "Because he loves you silly!" "Yes, but shouldn't we keep that thought to our self until it truly is obvious?"
"Hurry up or you are going to be late!" That time is wasn't my conscience. It was my mother.
"Sorry Mother." I replied "It's just... Well... I'm a bit nervous." I admitted. After being told that there was nothing to be afraid of and just to be myself and have fun, I made my way into the forest.

The palace was full to the brim with strangers, and unfortunately it was I who had to welcome them all in. After finally spotting my dance partner, I called for Mother as I walked into the palace with her. "You look stunning!" I said shocked at her outfit choice. Her dress was green, with gold lining and a black plaited waist. It was like a dress version of what I was wearing, but it was no surprise that she knew what outfit I would be wearing. I- as usual on occasions like this- was wearing my royal Asgardian armour. I decided to take my helmet off as soon as I started dancing: it would probably all off or hurt someone.

Woah! I never would have thought that this day would come. Dancing with the prince of Asgard. It was a dream come true.
Loki and I had been separated around four years ago, due to the fact that I had stabbed someone, when I lost my temper with them one day and got banished by King Odin. I had joined a Midgardian group called the avengers, who helped protect the world from harm. It was then that my heart was almost physically ripped it two. I was on my usual daily routine, when I had a call from Agent Colson. Some maniac was trying to take over the world and rule it. Sounds a bit over the top.
"Loki!" I yelled. Half relieved that he was still alive, half angry that he would do such a horrible thing. "Why?"
"I am not in control of myself." He replied. "An evil monster kidnapped me and tortured me. I had no choice." At this, my heart broke. "BEHIND YOU!" I whizzed around, but before my eyes had time to focus, I felt a spear go straight through my body. I slumped to the floor in a pile. "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" I heard a voice from behind me scream. Loki ran over to me and held me tight. I smiled kindly as he put his hand over my wound, making me squint a little. He closed his eyes, looked serious, and breathed deep. What happened next I have no idea. I was alive. Completely uninjured! Then I realised.
"Oh thank you Loki." I said underneath my breath as I hugged him tight.
