My alarm starts screeching I'm pulled out of my amazing slumber with a start. Ugh alarm clocks suck! Groaning, I try to reach for my alarm clock so that I can throw it into oblivion and make my way slowly to the toilet across the hallway to start getting ready for school. Summer break is officially over and it's back to school. My dog, a golden retriever named Ollie furiously barks after me. What's wrong with her? After I get out of the toilet, my eyes fall on the clock in the hallway and my mouth falls open when I see it's five freaking am and I don't wake up till seven. That's why Ollie was barking at me.
"Carson!" I let out a furious scream and storm to my brothers room. Kicking it open, I see he's sleeping peacefully when he just ruined my sleep by messing with my alarm. Fuming, I fill a glass with ice cold water and dump it on his head. He lets out a shout as he leaps out of bed, dripping wet.
"What the hell Luna?!" He yells, glaring at me. He's an year older than me with short blonde hair and tanned skin. He's also way taller than me but I furiously glare back at him and cross my arms.
"You messed with my alarm clock so it's called revenge." I state. He smirks down at me and starts laughing.
"It's not funny!! You're evil."
"You got your revenge didn't you? Now scram from my room." He says gesturing to his door. I stick out my tongue to him and run outside. I then set my alarm to seven and try to go back to sleep.
Two hours later I'm hurriedly eating breakfast so that were not late for the first day. My dad strides in the kitchen a moment later and glares at me and Carson.
"Who left the toothpaste cap off?" He demands. Oh shit, that would be me...
"She did." Carson points at me.
"But you went after me, you could have put the cap on!" I snap at him. He opens his mouth to argue when dad speaks up.
"Stop it, you two! You're both gonna go back upstairs and put the cap back on." Groaning, we both go back upstairs, bickering along the way.
"Go on, put it on." He says.
"Why me? You do it."
"No, you left it off first, you do it.
"I don't care who left it off first you do it."
"You do it."
"No you!"
"Nope you!"
"You're not gonna give up are you?"
"Never."
Rolling my eyes, I put the cap back on. Then I hurry to my room to change. I let my hair open in loose curls for the first day and wear a red top along with blue jeans. I grab my phone and hurry down the stairs when I hear my brother calling because he drives us to school.
"We're getting late Luna, hurry up!"
"Jeez calm down, Carson. Let's go." I don't get how boys get ready so quickly. Don't they take time to pick out their outfit, shower and brush their hair? Be that as it may, taking a glance at my brothers untidy hair and crinkled clothes, possibly they don't...
The car ride is spent in comfortable silence while tuning into music. We finally reach our high school and I take a deep breathe, bracing myself for a new year. I'm about to get out of the car when I catch sight of Zachary Adelson, my crush, and immediately shut the car door abruptly. Carson notices this and looks at me, his eyebrows scrunched in confusion.
"Don't tell me you're still crushing on that Zach dude." He says incredulously. I look at him, horrified.
"How do you know that's he's my-" I cut myself off, staring at him.
