How many times have you heard that people who cut themselves are emo?
Or how about that the girl in your chem class only thinks about killing herself?
Maybe you don't realize it, but she's battling her own demons everyday
And doesn't need people to remind her of it
But what she does need
Is a hug
A warm embrace to give her care and reassurance that things do get better
Even when she has the rope all set up
And the chair right below it
Calling her name to stand on it
Just like her demons told her to
So next time, just think about what her, or others around you, might be going through
Before you start, or listen to, another one of those fucked-up sayings
Because they really aren't funny
