"I needed answers, my heart longed to have"

I was to run a kingdom that I did not know. Help others I did not know. I had to live in a whole new world. Not to mention marry a man I did not know.

Could I really do this? For my father? He had lost so much. My mother was no longer around. I was the last to run things. He depended on me. Everyone did. I always had hated to let anyone down.

Let alone a kingdom. My mother had to be worried up there. They had to let me go back and see her. Speak to her. Let her know I was safe.

She would not understand a single thing that was going on with me. But she would be thrilled to know I had found my real family! I had so much on my plate. All I could do was worry about my mother and worry about Kavan.

Everyone said he was dead. But my heart could not lose hope that he was alive.

"Princess?"

"Mortal hello" I bow as he does when he comes in my room. I was not used to that.

We had a nice long walk the other day. He had been some comfort to me. He brought me around the kingdom. Telling the history of our people. I loved learning about this place. It truly was interesting to learn about. Mortal also told me about himself. And his family. How he came to work for my father to.

"Would you like to go for a morning walk with me princess?" he asks me.

I nod. "Certainly" I agree.

He offers me his arm. I take it. We begin to swim about. "I still kind of miss my legs" I chuckle.

"What is it like having you know...legs? Being on land?" he asks me.

"The food is fantastic on land. And you can run with legs. Sit and dance with legs" I giggle.

He chuckles. "It must be a change to have fins" he jokes.
