Chapter 7- It's an eyelash curler, not a knife!
"So, where do you think he's taking us?" Rose asked me, even though I had absolutely no idea where he was taking us.
"I have absolutely no idea." I said, repeating what I had said in my head. Where is he taking us? I know it's not to a party, he already told us that. So where was it?
"Well, we know it's not a party. I'm not sure. Maybe we're sneaking into somewhere?" Rose said. If we were, we better not get caught, because I'm definitely not getting into trouble because of him.
Just then my phone buzzed, it was a message from Canyon.
Canyon: No tutoringing today. Picking you guys up at 6. Wear something cute, not like those ugly clothes you usually wear.
Avery: Hey! My clothes are not ugly!
Canyon: Sure they aren't, buttercup.
Avery: What's with the nickname?
Canyon: Nothing, you just remind me of a buttercup ;). See you at 6.
Now he's giving me nicknames... But, at least I didn't have to tutor him today. I actually got the afternoon off! Not evening though, he had to take that.
Then I thought about something. We were going somewhere, and he told me to wear some cute clothes, and I didn't own any cute clothes...
"Rose!" I nearly screamed, causing her to fall and drop all her books.
"What the hell?!" She fully screamed at me. I muttered an opps and helped her to her feet and picked up her books.
"Canyon said to wear something cute. I don't have anything cute!" I complained. Hey, I didn't own any cute clothes, that gives me a free pass to freak out like I just found out I have cancer.
"So you have to give a freakin' heart attack?" She yelled in my face. Okay, I just I did over react a bit.
"I'm sorry, but please help me!" I asked, pulling my sad eyes out. She was a sucker for sad eyes.
"Ugh, the sad eyes really?" I nodded my head. "Fine, I'll help you." She said.
I almost jumped in excitement, knowing that Rose could really transform me. She was like a doctor, except with eyeliner.
"Thanks Rose, your the best!" I told her. She muttered a quick "I know" before we walked over to her car.
-----
"Oww!" I screamed in pain as Rose did my makeup. Seriously, these things freakin' hurt. I don't know how some girls managed to wear all of them everyday.
"It's an eyelash curler, not a knife so stop complaining!" She yelled at me. I muttered a few quieter owws as she did the 'finishing touches.'
"Now, I got you a dress, but you can't look in the mirror as you try it on. After you change, I'll come back in and you can look at all of it at the same time. Okay?" She told me. I muttered an okay and she shoved a black plastic bag in my hands and left the bathroom.
Let me just tell me, it's freakin' hard putting on a dress when you don't know what it looks like. It takes a lot longer, considering your trying to put your legs in the right place and making sure that you don't put your head through the sleeves.
When I was finally finished, I opened the bathroom door and asked Rose if I could look yet. She put her hand over my eyes and led me over to somewhere in my room, and when she pulled her hands back, I was shocked to say the least.
I gasped as I saw myself in the mirror. Rose was smiling like crazy and almost squealing, clearly very satisfied with her work.
I was wearing a sleeveless black sequence dress that was a few inches above my knees, revealing some of my long legs that I usually hid with jeans.
Rose had done an amazing job on my makeup, putting the perfect amount of each appliance in the right spot and it was just so breath taking.
She had curled my hair, letting it fall in waves around my face.
"Rose, your a miracle worker." I told her, still shocked that it was actually me in the mirror.
"I know!" She replied, very satisfied that I actually begged her to make me look stunning.
And in perfect timing, the doorbell rang signaling that Canyon was here. Rose and I walked down the stairs, and she was also looking gorgeous with her curly hair and gold dress.
I was just about to open the door when my slutly sister decided to speak to me. We hadn't really talked much after my little comeback, and she decided that should end even though I was perfectly fine with it.
"Going somewhere?" She asked, eyeing me up and down. She probably would not approve, not wanting me to end up like a slutly loner like she was now, but I would not turn out like her. This was only my second time going out, it's not like I was signing up to be a slut for life.
"Yeah. Out." I replied quickly. She was not stopping me from going out, she wasn't my parent or anything. She was barely even a sister.
"Where to?" She questioned us again. I decided if she was gonna question me, I was gonna give her another little comeback.
"Well, dear, dear sister, I don't think that's any of your damn business." I snapped and pulled Rose outside and caused us to crash into Canyon, who was now confused and at a loss for words. I quickly shut my front door and headed towards the car.
"Let's go." I said, sitting in shotgun, just wanting to get the hell away from the house.
