CHAPTER 13

Perry woke up the next morning, feeling happy and peaceful. She knelt beside her bed and said a word of prayer.

"Dear Jesus, thank you for waking me up, I know it is by your grace and I really appreciate that. Help me walk in you and with you today and forever. Amen"

She ran down stairs, straight into the kitchen and she met Britt inside the kitchen.

" Good morning" she said hugging Britt.

"Hi, I hope you slept well" Britt said as she rinsed her hands and gave Perry a kiss on her forehead. She was preparing rice and chicken.

"Wow, this dish smells so good" Perry said as she moved closer to where the bowl of fried chicken was. She dipped her hand into the bowl and tore out a little part from one of the chickens. Eating it, she said " Hmmm, this chicken makes me feel like I am currently in heaven"

Britt laughed so loud that she began pouring the tomato paste she was holding.

"Oops, Perry you almost made me pour the paste" she said still laughing gently

"I have never seen someone who exaggerates like you do" she said still smiling.

"I know, right. I love it when I go extra" she said smiling.

While they discussed, Tye and Ben entered the kitchen.

"Hmm, something smells so nice"
Tye said moving closer and more close to where Britt and Perry was.

"Yes, something really smells amazing" Ben added.

"Exactly!, can you now see that I am not exaggerating but saying the truth. The dish is really nice"
Perry said throwing her hands up in the air.

"You guys should just stop. I know you are only teasing me , the dish is not as good as that, you guys are just over hyping it" she said smiling silently.

"Seriously, the dish is so good, hmm" Tye said bitting a chicken "You need to prepare this everyday, hmmm" he said as he continued eating.

Ben also took a bite and he complemented her about how great the taste was.

She finished cooking and they all went to the dinning table to eat. They ate and discussed at the same time. Perry discussed her college applications. She applied to seven schools, hopefully she gets into her dream college- Aiyo University. Jade and Maya also applied to that University, she hopes that they get into it also.

After they finished eating , Perry and Britt washed the dishes and they planned to go to the spa later in the afternoon. Tye and Ben went to the sitting room to discuss about Tye moving into senior year by September. He was excited about being a senior and he shared some of his fears with his dad. Ben gave him some advice to help him get through senior year. They rounded up their discussion and they both went to have their bath.

It was one o'clock in the afternoon, Britt and Perry were ready to go to the spa. They went down stairs and packed some snacks.

"Bye, guys. We are going to the spa. See you later" Perry said waving at her dad and tye who were playing video game.

"This isn't fair dad, let us go out too! Everytime Britt and Pey are always out to enjoy themselves but we just sit here all day" Tye said looking at his dad, feeling jealous.

"Don't worry, we will go for ours and I promise you that it will be better than theirs" Ben said assuring tye.

"Sorry, little brother. You know, that is how girls row" Perry said teasing Tye and smiling as she walked out of the house
