Chapter 4: The Attempt

Aria's P.O.V.

I went home trying not to cry, I succeeded. But I got home and everyone was there waiting for me. I gave a big grin, I ran upstairs so they wouldn't see me cry. My mom followed me and hugged me, “Aria, whats wrong?” I cried even harder. She held me after about 10 minutes of me crying I spoke, “I lost. I can't see him anymore. I'm lost, I will never be happy In the same way again.” “Sweetheart, what happened? How did you loose? Who cant you see?" still sobbing I spoke“I went to see Ezra this morning I felt like I owed it to him for the way I left things. I lost my best friend, the love of my life, my soul mate. I will never see Ezra again. Jackie threatened me before I left, and I couldn't put him in that position.” “What position? Why cant you see him?” “She was going to tell the police and get Ezra arrested. Now there getting married on Saturday.” She got up and started looking through my closet, I looked at her confused. “Well if your going, you gotta look your best, don't you?” I smiled and got up to help her look for the perfect dress.

After I was done freaking out and we picked out the perfect dress we went downstairs and I greeted everyone with a smile and laughter. I remember all of these people, but its like they're all new people. I heard a deep familiar voice. I turned around and it was Ezra, trying to impress my family. I ran to my mom and told her to make him leave before I start crying, but it was to late Ezra was already behind me with his hand on my shoulder, “Can we talk?” him and I went up to my bedroom. He started, “I want to tell you everything. We broke up and Jackie was there to pick me up. She proposed to me, and I thought I would never see you again, so I said yes. I love you Aria, I always have, and I always will.” he finished and I replied, “You should go. I don't want you to do something you regret.” he kissed me and I tried to stop him. But my heart said no. we were on my bed, but then I realized what was happening, I stopped him before anything serious happened. He left and I was alone again.

I went to Emily to cancel our plans for Wednesday. I explained why and she told me she was taking Saturday off to help me wish he didn't lose me. She called her boss and he said she could take the day off. The rest of the week flew by.
