The Returning Hero

- Prologue -

A portal opens bringing along with it a mysterious aura which seemed to be not of this world. While opened within an deserted alleyway, a figure emerges from inside the portal. This certain individual looked pretty foreign in height whilst being a natural born half-filipino half-japanese and his face looked mature despite his actual age being pretty young.

After coming out of the portal, Kaiyuu takes a good look at his surrounding area that he exited onto and to his surprise it was the city of Manila. Although at that time, he exited back in his world around near midnight meaning most of the people are pretty much at bed meaning it gives him a good chance to head straight back home. Unfortunately though he wasn't really feeling all too well especially right after just being driven to the brink of death, ultimately he decides to rest within the alleyway behind a garbage bin.

"ahh soo we lost huh? Well that was already a no-brainer since most of the defenses we're obliterated in the battle so more or less that was it... sigh" he whispered to himself,

*grumble*

"ohh I must be then hmmmm... actually I haven't eaten for about the past few hours aghh I'm hungry!!" he irritatedly cried,

Fortunately for him though, his spatial type magic void bag works in that world. As he was looking around for food, Kaiyuu noticed the smartphone that was in the bottom of the bag. It was then that he thought maybe he could figure out the situation going on within the world while he wasn't there but unexpectedly not even a day went by after he left from that world.

"w-what the hell?! w-what's the meaning of this?! how has it only been a day since I got teleported?! b-but that's impossible I mean 4 years came by there right? s-so how? HOW?!" he cried out in disbelief,

As he checked both online and on the calendar, he did confirm that it was just a day since he left from the world. Totally puzzled about the entire thing, he decided to just eat instead of worry about things that doesn't really matter to him.

Though in the meantime he thought of just resting in that spot and grab something to eat before worrying about what he is going to do about his current situation. Kaiyuu then opens his void bag and rummages through his things to find something to eat, finally he finds a small bag filled with sandwiches after a few minutes of going through his things.

"ahh~ hmmmm!~ this is pretty yummy" he joyfully said

*whoosh!* *fwip*

A note then flies from out side the small bag and lands on his feet, it was a note written by Rianne. Kaiyuu's party member that was with him during the battle. Eventually he noticed it and picked it up. As soon as he picked it up, he read it immediately and what he read made him more devastated.

As Kaiyuu was reading the letter, he couldn't help but have his tears fall from his eyes. It made him remember the battle and the time before the preparations.

*sniffle*

"y-you i-idiot, of course I'd eat the food you made" he said while crying,

Whilst reading, he slowly crumpled it as the flashbacks of the battle came to him.

"AGH!!!! WHY?! WHY DID IT HAVE TO TURN OUT LIKE THIS?!?!" he cried out in anger,

*thud!*

He punches the wall out of anger after realizing the fact that he wasn't able to save her in time.

"I-I did everything I could but why?! why at that time I failed to anticipate it?! aghh this is a disaster... sighh" he despairingly implied,

At that time whilst he was sulking, a flame of determination lighted inside him.

"if only I could've acted in time maybe I could've saved them... maybe they wouldn't have... no... no more what if's, it's time I do something instead sit down sulking here or else nothing would be achieved, I have to do something... something like taking the capital back, like fighting and defeating the demon king" Kaiyuu said feeling inspired,

"hmmm ok! that decides it, I, Kaiyuu Hiiragi will make myself much stronger and return back to Yvengraal in order to claim our victory once again" he proudly cries out as he steels his resolve to make himself grow much stronger for his return.
