HEEEEEEY YOUUUUUU THEREEEEE!
Thank you so much for 2.1k+ reads in a less than week after we hit the 1k mark! Wow, honestly I'm still kinda overwhelmed that this went well, even though we're not even halfway through. After this, it's 11 chapters to go! Holy moly.
I'm starting to become a bit inactive on my fan account because I don't really do edits, but I am planning to practice soon because of my college program (communications). Hopefully it'll push through. Also, I've been binge-watching ATLA with my sister, so...
Anyway, warning: THIS ONE ENDS IN A CLIFFHANGER. I like writing cliffhangers, I dunno. But let's get started with Shayne's POV, and see ya!

Okay. I was being irrational. The divorce had to happen, because Ian would lose his shit at Smosh if he found out. It was not professional of us to get married, and it was not very legal either. Besides, Courtney and I just wouldn't work in any angle possible, no matter how much I wanted us to work. I mean, we do work (together), but we don't work (together).
Man, words are hard now.
Today was the SWAC/So Random! reunion party that Allisyn had organized. It was nothing big, but it was still a party and I do miss the cast. Courtney didn't seem as excited as I was for the event (because she only knew Damien, Matthew Scott, and Allisyn), but she did have a pretty nice outfit prepared. We had to act like we were together but miserable, when in fact we were far from being miserable. We were happy, and even though I knew she wouldn't like me back that way, I could see how happy she was.
"So ground rules," Courtney says, leaning against the counter and reading off her phone. "First off, no alcohol. Don't wanna get into another mess, do ya?"
"Definitely not," I reply as I take off my tie in front of the mirror.
"Second, I'm gonna put my arm around yours, so that we're 'together.' At the start of the party, we're happy and okay, but by the end of it, grouchy, angry, and just not working out well. That's your suggestion, nice touch."
"Yup," I answer, taking yet another tie off my polo.
"Lastly, stay together at the party," she finishes, turning off her phone. "I don't exactly know how this will help in our divorce documentation, but we gotta have faith in Atty. Lopez, I guess."
"Yeah, he knows what he's doing," I say, sighing as I throw another tie into my wardrobe.
Courtney walks towards me and takes one of the ties before making me face her. "Is it that hard to find the right tie?" she asks as she puts the tie under the collar of my shirt and starts tying it. "This blue one would look better, because I'm wearing blue. It's a technique to make people suspect we're a couple."
I look at her as she concentrates on fixing my tie. Courtney looked gorgeous, as if she knew everyone from the cast: blue eyeshadow, cute little blue dress, blue pumps, and one of the prettiest shades of red on her lip. The red didn't match her outfit at all, but she still looked so beautiful. When she finishes fixing my tie, she pats it down and then looks up at me. "There we go. Color scheme, Shayne."
