I once wouldn't imagine my life without  you
You brought the sparks
The fireworks that lit my sky
You ignited the fire that burned deep inside
You filled my life with happiness
And  my stomach with butterflies
You brought the hope that twinkled  in my eyes
For you were the only star I saw shining bright
You were the sweet melody I left on repeat

But the sparks went off
The fireworks came around once in  awhile
The fire went cold
And Happiness  was just a fiction of the imagination
The song became pitchy  and  out of tune
You became that star that lost its meaning
That star which was now far away from my view.

But I rise from the ashes
And like a flower I blossomed
I found my happiness  in me
And like the hummingbirds
I will sing my sweet melody
For a life without you was what I needed
A life without you brought a whole new meaning
For I was the only strength in numbers  I needed
For a life without you
Meant a life filled with me!
