Monique POV

"So why did you say that shit?" I argued with August for the first time in like 3 months.

"Because I am a grown ass man and I can say what the fuck I want! Duh! The fuck!" He yelled. "Aye man stop fucking playing with me before I hurt your fucking feelings!"

"Hurt them." I stood in front him and he towered me.

"Stop before I hurt you in this motherfucka." He donked me in my head.

"So are you taking drugs or no?" I asked and he chuckled.

"Stop questioning me about what I do I am a grown ass man and you or nobody else have the right to check me."

"Boy I am your girlfriend and I am concerned about you and you are acting this way. You fucking prick. Fuck you."

"Fuck you too." He stuck up his middle fingers.

"Stop playing with me before I hurt you."

"You ain't gone do shit."

"Yeah you really must be on drugs cause you know what I get into."

"Yes I am and you blowing my fucking high bro."

"Why you taking drugs August?" I tried to remain calm.

"Mind your fucking business!" He snapped.

"Just tell me what is going on August!"

"When you go through what I am going through then you'll understand!"

"Okay you wanna know?" He yelled

"Yes!"

"My momma don't love and my fucking family hate me. My bro- my fucking brother is fucking dead. Cha got cancer. I'm fucking loosing my sister. I am going crazy. The niggas around me might be plotting on me. I don't want you to stop loving because you are all I have. This is to much I am not okay and guess what a perk can fix it and 2 or 3 can do an even better job." He explained. "I fucking feel like killing myself when I am not with you and my daughter. Every second I just wanna die. I just- I just want Mel." He started crying and I hugged him and he pushed me away.

"August baby it is okay. Let me love you and care for you."

"It's all temporary! Everybody leaves me somehow and someway so if you wanna go just tell me!"

"I would never leave you August. Stop-" I grabbed him and he snatched away.

"I'm out!" He left out the room and I was right behind him.

"Anthony stop!" I grabbed him and he turn around and I saw the hurt in his eyes. "I love you so much baby. I will never ever leave you because the same way you need me is the same damn way I neeed you. Yes my mom and I are super super... super-"

"Yeah super super-"

"Shut up." I smack him in his chest and he laughed. "You know you are so sexy when you smiled I just want to suck your dick everytime." He smirked.

"Is that right?" I nodded and kissed me.

"Talk to me baby because I hate that you feel this way I love you so much and I know that lately you been needing a lot of attention and love and reassurance but I didn't know you felt this way baby." I hugged him.

"It's just all overwhelming and I don't wanna plow it in to you because I know you don't take stuff lightly." He sighed and kissed my forehead. "I just don't know what to do. I am just like my stepdad, I am a addicted I-"

"You need to think about the people in your life babe. Me and Amoni will love you til the day we die plus." I kissed him. "I will never leave you and even if we break up but that's not gonna happen and I bet my bottom dollar on that. You cheat on me I will beat the breath out of you and replace it with my own." I said seriously and he nodded and chuckled. "And if you every tell me to mind my business again I with choke you the fuck out. I still love you though and we are gonna get you help because you are an amazing wonderful person and father and I will be damned if you become a zombie. Is that understood?" He nodded.

"Okay baby." He kissed me. "Come on lets go get this girl from school." I walked back up stairs and grabbed my phone and my purse that August just got me.

We got into the care and he turned on the radio and downtown came on and I instantly turn it to dreamer. He started singing to me.

About 15 minutes later we pulled up to her school and her friends pointed to us and she took of running.

"Hey baby." I kissed her. "Mommy missed you so much." I kissed her and helped her in the car and strapped her down.

"Mommy we watched princess and the frog and everybody said that that was gonna be me in the future because I am beautiful and brown." I smiled at her.

"Yes you are a beautiful black princess." August jumped in. "How about we order you a dress and a frog and see what happens."

"I will never ever kiss a frog. eww daddy." He laughed.

"You sound just like her to." He laughed and I smiled.

August and Amoni's smile was really the only thing a care about. My family.

"Mommy what do you want for Mother's Day?"

"A movie with my favorite people in the world and to take a long nap."

"Mommy that's not what me and dada had planned." She furrowed up her face and August bust out laughing.

"Oh y'all got something planned."

"Ass we was supposed to-"

"Princess daddy loves you but I will kick your ass." She sat back and I hit him in the shoulder and he kissed me and he took the gum out my mouth.

"Ewww." Me and Amoni said at the same time.

"It's my mouth I do as a please." He looked at me. "And you mommy, daddy kiss is no bad ting. It's good ting" She laughed as he recited norbit and they talked.

I couldn't help but question how many times he was around us high and I didn't know because he is high right now and I wouldn't have knew it he ain't say anything. I didn't even know it was actual sadness in his sad eyes.

"Babe you okay?" He looked concerned and I nodded and shot him a genuine smile and he went back to talking to Amoni
