Chapter 29.

Christmas Eve.

Monique POV

"Come on y'all." I call the girls downstairs. "We gotta go get some stuff from y'all house and then we gotta get some blankets and stuff."

Me and the girls are doing something I always wanted to do. A Christmas movie night sleepover. I just want them to go into tomorrow with a positive attitude and some good ass sleep.

"I need my nails did." Chaylin said walking downstairs.

"Well it's Christmas eve and ain't nobody open so baybeh you better paint your own nails." Noonie said and chaylin rolled her eyes and i laughed.

I drove to Walmart and we got out and we walked in and it was a million motherfuckas in this bitch.

"Uhnt uhnt." Kay frowned her face and I laughed. I pulled out a few masks out my bag so people wouldn't recognize us.

We walked to get the blankets.

"Ouu." Chaylin grabbed some red Christmas blanket. "We should get a blowout bed."

"You mean blow up." Amaiya looked at her and she shrugged

"You know what I meant?" Amaiya shook her head.

"They need to hurry and start school you already forgetting stuff and we only been on break for four days" she shook her head and I laughed.

"We should get some nail polish." Chay walked away and I naturally followed her.

"Where the blow up beds?" I questioned. "Where they be!" The girls found the nail polish and we walked around looking for blow up beds and I ended up buy 5 twin size blow up beds and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't need because I have no self control.

"Hello." I heard August sleepy raspy voice through my ears and it sent tingles down a bitch spine.

"Hey baby. Come get the bags please."

"Here I come baby" I hung up and he came out with no shirt on.

In popped the trunk.

"Come on girls."

"Kay sleepy mommy." Moni said and I looked at back and Kay was sleep and Chay and Noonie was knock out in the back.

I got up and walked Moni in the house and then I came back to get Kay and then I carried her int the house and laid her on the couch. And the I got Noonie and Chay was heavy asf. August ended up taking her in the house.

I cleaned up the whole house and cookie cake and cookies for the girls to wake up to.

"Hey baby what you doing?" August walked in the kitchen.

"Making some snacks. You hungry?"

"Why you so excited?" He laughed.

"It's Christmas Eve and you know this is my favorite holiday cause I get to give people stuff." He smiled. "Everybody is coming together like we have a million things to be excited about like this is gonna be the best Christmas ever and then I have the girls here so I can live out my big family dreams now." He laughed.

"I know you been talking about the Christmas Eve night forever."

"Exactly now I can do it." I smiled and he laughed. "We are gonna do nails and we are gonna watch the polar express."

"A Christmas carol."

"No baby that movie scares me and you know that."

"What that is the best Christmas movie."

"No the little old Christmas movies are like grandma got ran over by a rain deer or frosty the snow man or Rudolph the red nose rain deer and them type movies."

"Nah elf is my favorite movie or the prefect holiday or best man holiday."

"That is sad like imagine your mom or friend or wife dying on Christmas like that would hurt so bad. I couldn't deal with that shit and then the end he finally allowed his self to feel that shit and he unballed his fist and he broke down he is-" I stopped and he looked at me.

"He what?"

"Nothing." He laughed.

"So are we gonna open the presents tonight at twelve so we can just go to the hospital or take it to the hospital."

"We can open them tonight just take cha presents because that might be too much and once they get with they mom they ain't gone be worried about no present when they get with cha." I nodded. "Kay gone have a million stories and Chay gone be tryna take pictures and talk to her."

"Don't come for Kay and her stories." I laughed and he chuckled.

She do be having a million stories but they are really interesting and funny.

"I am not." He rubbed down his face and I kissed him. "Oh yeah why you by some many damn airbeds."

I smiled at him.

"Nope answer my question."

"Because I saw them and something told me to to get all of them and baby i don't have any control over myself when it comes to spending money and I really tried to fight it but I couldn't." He smiled and looked away from my angel face.

"Is this a Christmas movie or a horror movie." Chay asked me and I looked at August. "I am scared."

"I told you they are not gonna like it."

"I like it Chay just scary." Amaiya frowned up her face eating a cookie.

"I am not scary I just don't get the concept."

August laughed.

"Why you laughing at me?" She pouted and he laughed even harder and everybody stared at him.

"Anyways Chile." He looked at the tv and wiped his eyes. "Y'all make my day and night bro."

"This movie is kinda interesting you just gotta get into it" Kay explained.

We watched like 3 movies and they was gone.

Me and August was up watching the polar express.

"Hello?" He answered his phone. "What the fuck you mean? How they fuck like she was just talking and happy this morning. Bro this can't be real. Okay stop fucking saying that shit. She can't be dying bro." He walked out the room.

My heart fell in to my ass and I got a weird feeling in my stomach.

"Wake them up we gotta get to the hospital now." He sighed and I hopped up.

"Baby what is wrong come on talk to me."

"They said she is dying like how she was just fucking fine like what the fuck." He cried and I hugged him. "What are we gonna do like what are we gonna tell them?"

"I dont know baby but we will figure it out." I cried softly. "Let's just hurry up and get them to the hospital."

I woke them up and we loaded up the car and made our way to the hospital. The car ride was silent. I can't imagine how they are gonna act when we get there I don't even wanna imagine.

My mom is all I know and I can't imagine her dying just the thought makes me wanna cry. Then it's like they always went to their mom for everything and she is just their sun and moon. I love her so much but it's not about me right now there are more important people to think of right now. I can't be sad right now I have to step up.
