Red had a plan in motion to get Cerise more comfortable around men again. She was having a cookout but she was only inviting men,not to many to scare Cerise but to open her up to them.
It was the day of the cookout and everyone came Cerise walked outside and instantly ran to her mothers legs and begged her to make them go away.
Red didn't make them go away but she did make a deal with her. All Cerise had to do was talk to every man at least once.
So Cerise walked up to one of the men in the yard and spoke very quietly.
"Hi sweetheart how are you"answered the man who just so happened to be her uncle.
"Good"answered Cerise more confidently.
Cerise eventually made her rounds to every man in the yard except one. And he was least favorite uncle because he never stopped talking.
But Cerise walked up to him and spoke even if she stood there the rest of the night.
Once everyone went home Cerise walked up to her mom and hugged her.
"Thank you for helping me mommy"
"Anytime baby girl"said Red kissing her forehead
