Aimee stood at the cliff that overlooked Beacon Hills. Despite the distance that she made between her and her friends, she still watched over them in fear of what would happened if she surely left.

She watched as Isaac stayed at her home, after she was gone. He took care of her property as if it were his own. At times she would sneak into her house and tuck him in, just to smell him, and see the way he cuddled up while asleep. He had never caught her due to her new abilities from the dark side, she kept him asleep.

She watched as Lydia and Allison grew closer together, as did Allison and Isaac. It broke her heart to watch it happen but Aimee couldn't risk hurting the people she loved.

She saw Scott become the Alpha that everyone needed and saw, as well as Stiles become the only unskilled human to strive in the community.

In total everyone was doing just fine without her, despite the group still searching for her. Lydia and Isaac seemed to be the only two who seemed depressed over the disappearance of Aimee Kilton. Yes, it hurt the pack but the two who considered themselves the closest never stopped looking.

The only person that Aimee actually checked in with was the Hales. The decaying home was one of the safe places that she could be. Derek, despite urging that she return back home and that everyone was worried about her, kept her secret. He just wanted to make sure she was safe and okay. Peter and Cora on the other hand, didn't really care about her or the situation but still agreed not to out her.

Derek kept her fed, clothed, and sheltered if need be. Other than that, he let her live her life the way that she wanted to. That was, until Derek went missing along with the other Hales.

Aimee pulled her hair into a bun and then threw her hoodie over top of it. She put her headphones in, in attempt to block out the pounding in her ears. The pounding began from the moment that three of her pack mates died and opened their mind to the nematon. Aimee, however, didn't know this and blamed it on the dark magic that pulsed through her very limbs.

Aimee turned the volume up a bit louder as she began to slowly jog through the woods. She let her senses go as she into the clean fresh air. She didn't have a destination, she just wanted to feel a little bit of good in her bones for once.

Speeding up, she was almost the wind itself when she froze, paralyzed in pain. She let out a horrible scream as she dropped to the forest floor grabbing at her ankle. She ripped the headphones from her ears as gunshots replaced the booming music.

Footsteps rapidly approached her, and she began to panic. She could not be found, she could not put everyone in danger. Just rip the trap open, she told herself. But the pain of it all made it impossible for her to focus.

"Over here!" A voice shouted as the panic began to rise in her throat. She clenched her teeth so hard she was afraid that they would break, "Aimee?"

She took a deep breath as a hand reached her back, "It's going to be okay. Stiles open the damn thing!" Lydia shouted as she pulled Aimee's face to look at her, "Hurry Stiles, she's going to bleed out."

Aimee locked eyes with her best friend before a warmth feeling washed over her body. Lydia took Aimee's collapsed body into her lap and shielded her from her own injury.

"Hey Aimes, keep your eyes open," Lydia tapped her friends cheek, "Look at me."

Before Stiles could remove the trap from her ankle, Aimee fainted. None of the three were sure if it was due to the pain, or blood loss. Yet, Lydia was grateful that Stiles found Aimee before the situation was worse off.

--

Aimee opened her eyes slightly, the light being too much for her to take in at once. The beeping of her heart monitor indicated to everyone in the room that she was now awake, and they turned to her slowly.

No one spoke as Aimee laid in the bed, with dread filling her chest, as she looked at Lydia and Stiles.

Lydia finally reach out to grab Aimee's arm, "I'm glad to have you back."

Aimee stared at Lydia emotionless, unsure what to say. She couldn't agree since she was sure that this time, she would leave and not be caught.

Without much hesitation Aimee ripped the wires from her arm making Lydia jump back as she sat up. She kicked her legs over the side of the bed, "Where do you think your going?" Stiles asked her standing up, "You can't leave us again."

Aimee turned towards Stiles, "You don't get to tell me what I can and can't do, got that? This is for everyone's wellbeing."

"Is it for yours?" Lydia asked quietly from the sideline, "Are you better without us?"

Aimee gulped hard, as the door to the hospital room busted open, "Oh thank god." For a split second the blonde saw Isaac and Allison holding hands before he broke away and engulfed the blonde in a hug. His scent instantly making her knees weak and her heart flutter, which made him smile. She still loves him, it was enough to make him cry. He pulled away for a second, "Are you okay? What happened? How are you? Oh my god, I love you so much." She was instantly pulled back into his chest as his grip tightened.

Aimee closed her eyes, with a small smile as Allison stared at the two. Lydia noticed this and made a mental note to tell Allison to back off. She also made a mental note to have a talk with Isaac about Allison and Aimee. She was not going to let a boy destroy their trio.

Isaac pulled back again and pressed his lips to Aimee's which surprised her. Her began to pepper her with small kisses around her face. It wasn't until Stiles cleared his throat, uncomfortable that Isaac stopped this grand romantic gesture.

"I missed you," Isaac admitted sadly, "We all did."

Aimee took a moment to decide her next words carefully, "I was keeping you safe."

"Safe from what?" Allison interjected, worried that her friend may know something that she doesn't.

Aimee sucked her teeth, "Me," she sighed tears prickling her eyes, "I'm a monster now." Allison rolled her eyes at this statement knowing how harmless Aimee was compared to the wolves - but Allison completely underestimated her blonde friend.

"Oh Aimes," Isaac put his arm around her shoulders, "You already scared the hell out of me before you went dark."

The room laughed as Aimee cracked a smile, and right then and there, they knew that their Aimee wasn't gone.
