Aimee went to school and immediately went to run on the field, "Hey Aimee!" Allison shouted as she ran up to Aimee. Aimee stopped and waited for Allison to catch up, "Can you do me a favor?"
"Yeah, what?" She asked her friend.
"Can you be the messenger between Scott and I? Stiles is Scott's but I figure since you run."
Aimee laughed, "No, but you can use my phone. Here have him text me," Aimee gave Allison her phone and she smiled.
Allison smiled, "Thank you."
The rest of the day, Aimee just jogged around until the Lacrosse game.
--
Aimee sat on the bleachers waiting for the game to start. Allison and her grandfather came over and sat next to her, "Hey Aimes."
"Hey, glad you could make it!" Aimee smiled as she scooted over.
The older man smiled, "I'm Gerard, also the new principal."
"Nice to meet you," Aimee smiled, Stiles had told her about him. He would kill anything supernatural, so she had to watch what she was doing.
"I should have brought a heavier coat," Allison shivered.
Gerard took his coat off, "You're cold, have mine."
Aimee noticed Stiles nod his head to her to follow him, she stood up, "Excuse me."
As she made her way to Stiles, Allison dropped a key in his hand. The two walked further into the parking lot and heard crying.
Stiles stopped and walked over, "Lydia what's wrong?" Aimee sighed and walked over, "Lyds."
"I don't want anyone to see me cry!" She yelled as she wiped her eyes.
"Look you should care if people see you cry, especially you," Stiles made eye contact with her and Aimee took that as her moment back up.
Lydia cried, "Why?"
"Because I think you look really beautiful when you cry," Stiles answered and Aimee smirked.
Lydia didn't say anything, "You're going to think I'm crazy."
Stiles leaned into her car and mumbled something before taking off and grabbing Aimee's arm.
"What are we doing in here?" Aimee asked as Stiles pulled her into the Principals office and started to unlock drawers.
He sighed, "Look for a book, a beastiary."
Aimee looked at him confused but went to start looking. Stiles began to text someone when Aimee heard someone enter, "Hello Stiles."
Aimee sat up seeing it was Erica, "And Aimee to," Aimee smiled and waved condescendingly.
Erica grabbed Stiles ear and dragged him out before turning to Aimee, "You can follow, or I can grab your ear to?" Aimee sighed and pushed herself up as she followed Erica.
Not far down the hallway, they turned to the pool area. Derek stood there and Erica let Stiles go. Aimee decided she was going to do whatever, and ignore the conversation.
Aimee walked around the pool before seeing a reflection behind her due to the water, "Uh guys?"
Aimee called as a monster hopped down from above Stiles. The monster scratched Derek and Erica. Stiles grabbed Derek and went to run away with him.
"Call Scott!" Derek yelled to anyone who was listening. The small blonde put Derek's other arm around her shoulders, helping out Stiles.
Stiles pulled his phone out and fumbled it, and as soon as he let go Derek began to fall into the pool yelling. Without a second thought Stiles dived into the pool after Derek.
Aimee kicked her shoes off, ready to dive in when Derek and Stiles emerged from the water. In the second of surprise the monster wrapped his tail around Aimee's leg before coming around her.
Her eye wide as the reptilian creature eyeballed her, "What do I do?" She panicked.
"Get me out of here before I drown!" Derek snapped to Stiles.
"Do you not see that thing, and that it has Aimee?" Stiles yelled back at him.
Derek huffed, "I'm paralyzed from the neck down in eight feet of water!" Stiles went to swim to the other side of the pool to try to let Derek up.
"Don't!" Aimee shouted from her spot, seeing the reptile eyeball them. It put it's hand in the water, still wrapped around Aimee's leg as it hissed, "It can't go in the water! You're safe." Aimee sighed. She had to get into the water or she was going to die.
Stiles, struggling to keep the two above the water line, "Blast it away!"
"I can barley use my power!" She was nearly in tears.
"Why isn't it attacking her?" Derek asked out loud. A good question, Aimee began to think.
Aimee went to move and it hissed at her, she stayed still, almost not breathing.
Stiles went closer to the edge where his phone is. Stiles let go of Derek, swimming quickly to grab his phone. Once he did the reptile rushed over to the edge where Stiles was.
Aimee took this opportunity to dive into the water, she went down and grabbed Derek. When she surfaced Stiles was back over to them and helped hold Derek up.
"Did Scott answer?" Derek asked and Stiles sighed.
"I need something to hold onto!"Stiles shouted, giving out. All of the weight went onto Aimee. Aimee struggled to reach the end of the pool as she went under.
A hand pulled the weight off of her and she emerged in time to hear Scott's growl.
Aimee pulled herself up and began to cough up water. She laid on her back ready to die if the monster came over. She heard Scott fight off the monster. When the noise died down she slowly pushed herself up. After a few minutes everyone was stood outside. Stiles and Aimee freezing while the werewolf felt fine.
Aimee looked around, "What the hell was that?"
"It's a Kanima," Derek snapped as he walked over with Erica.
Stiles threw his hands up, "You knew the whole time?"
"Only when it got confused by its reflection."
There was a silence, and Aimee pulled Stiles away to her car. She let her pull him as she put him in her car as she turned the heat on, "Thanks," he shivered.
"No problem," She put her hands in front of one of her heaters. Scott jumped into the car not that much later.
"It didn't attack me," Aimee told Scott, "Why?"
"Maybe it knows you, just like Stiles said he felt like it knew him."
