Was Once Wonderful

Chapter 1

I turned my gaze away from the fetus and gathered my attention to the long hoses connected at the back of every tank. It led to three larger tanks which i assumed is connected to the two enormous tanks outside. I pointed the flashlight around me, checking if there's anyone in here besides me. I moved the flashlight westward and flinched when something reflected it's light. I pointed the flashlight back at the thing that reflected it and saw it was a deer. I was about to sigh in relief when i noticed that the ribs of the deer was showing. It's other eye was missing, and the right eye was pure white. It was staring at me, slowly opening its mouth in the process. I started backing down slowly and held the handle of the steel door. 

When it fully opened it's mouth, a few maggots crawled out, Its teeth sharp and yellow. It's lower jaw fell down on the floor, tongue writhing around.

I immediately ran away, faster than sonic the hedgehog himself. I didn't look behind and knew that the deer was chasing me. i could hear it's hooves tapping quickly behind me. I suddenly tripped over a hose which caused it to break but this is not the time to be like the movie protagonists where it takes them a fucking hour to stand up. I immediately stood up and ran faster than before to save my life. As i got out of the building, The sun shone above me, telling me that it's noon. I ran and with the adrenaline i had from fear, I jumped, gripping the top of the fence and throwing myself over it and landing on my two feet. beat that Mufasa! I kneeled on the ground and panted, looking at the deer who was trying to jump over the fence.

"Sike Bitch! Not today!" I shouted at him as i stood up and wiped the sweat off of my forehead and grinned cockily.  I wiped my hands on my shorts and stumbled my way back, Befriending a wolf puppy on the way. Imma name her Chewie since she looks chewy like a bubblegum. As i got home, My mom scolded me and ALMOST didn't allow me to take care of Chewie but thankfully she did.

After a long, relaxing bath, I wore my gray sweater and swag pants. I looked at Chewie who was resting on the mat i put for her. I tore my gaze away and grabbed my book and started to read it. After a few moments, I looked at the window and noticed that it was raining heavily. And I forgot to say that I didn't tell anyone where i went since I'm sure that i will be grounded for the rest of my life. 

"Yuuki! Time for Lunch!"  My mom shouted from the stairs. "Coming!" I shouted back which made Chewie perk her ears and head up, Looking at me as if asking what's happening. I Giggled at her and ruffled her hair. "Chewie! let's go! time to eat!" I called her as she wagged her tail and panted happily, dashing out of the room and carefully climbing down the wooden stairs with her little legs.

"Yuuki, I will forbid you from getting more dogs if you are not going to take care of her." My mom looked at Chewie who was looking at her happily waiting for her food. I chuckled and grabbed a small chunk of raw meat from the fridge. I put it in a plate and put it in front of her. "I promise that i am gonna take care of my Chewie as long as i live." I told my mom and set out the plates and put some rice on them. "That promise better be true." My mom kissed my forehead and put the dish on the table.

"Im sure it will be." I smiled and sat down. "Why didn't you call me for lunch?" My dad asked us as soon as he entered the dining room. My mom rolled her eyes at him and sat down beside me. "You were too busy watching those- K dramas and such!" She scolded him. 

My dad remained silent as he sat down in front of us and started eating. I laughed at his silence but got shushed by my mom. A few moments of teasing and laughing, we finished our meal. "I'll be out! Im gonna be back later!" My dad called out from the door as we heard the it creak open and close. My mom sighed and handed me the plates I'm about to wash. "You and your dad. So similar about wanting to explore around, going home dirty, stinky and sweaty."
