The next day, I couldn't keep the anticipation anymore.

I decided that it was the time to finally check on Kaneki.

I got out of bed and opened the door.

I was about to head out when I saw a brown haired girl standing in front of me.

Her eyes light up the moment I recognized her.

"Onee-chan!"

I grinned and pulled her into a hug.

"You're okay!" she said as she returned the hug.

I ruffled her hair.

"It's so good to see you, Hinami."

She smiled brightly and chuckled.

I let go of her.

"You sure have grown, huh?"

She slightly blushed.

Hinami then looked towards me.

"Do you need anything, onee-chan?"

I shook my head.

"Thank you, Hinami-chan. But I'm fine," I said with a slight chuckle, "I'm pretty sure I'm the one who should ask you that, you've been through a lot in the Cochlea."

"Don't worry, onee-chan, I'm okay!" she answered.

I sighed.

"If you say so..."

Then, I softly smiled.

"I'm proud of you."

Hinami widened her eyes.

She then smiled and gave me a hug.

"Thank you, onee-chan," she said, "For everything."

I hugged her back.

Not long after, we said our goodbyes and parted ways; Hinami going downstairs while I went to find Kaneki's room.

According to Takizawa's directions yesterday, Kaneki's room should be nearby.

I tried to remember where Takizawa showed me while walking down the hall.

Finally, I came across a door.

I sure hope this is his room.

Without much thinking, I quickly opened the door.

"Kaneki-"

There, right in front of me, was one of the best-

I mean, embarrassing thing I have ever seen.

A certain blue-haired male was standing in the middle of the room while holding a shirt above his head.

I t looks like he was about to change.

Guess I came in the wrong time.

My face immediately turned red as I stared at his chiseled chest.

Since when did he become this ripped-

"Are you done staring?"

I sorted out my thoughts as I heard his voice.

I chuckled awkwardly.

"S-Sorry Ayato," I said, "I should've knocked first."

Ayato put on his shirt.

Damn it shirt, you're blocking the view-

"So," he said, "What brings you here?"

I cleared my throat.
