"Yeah, I can see we're going to get a lot of work done," Lorenzo stated, with more than a touch of sarcasm. "I'll talk to you tomorrow."
He stood up, picked up his jacket and walked away. I stared at him in horror. Had he...? No! He could NOT just have stolen my line! That was MY part! I was the one who was supposed to leave him hanging. I turned back to the encyclopedia, anger making the words swim before my eyes. Nothing I could do would pay him back enough for what he was doing. NOTHING!
"Oh, by the way," Lorenzo smirked. "I'm glad to finally meet you properly, Vladimina. I believe this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
He'd used a Casablanca quote on me! That was my all time favourite old movie! And he had defiled it with his evil voice. I nearly growled. Just you wait, Lorenzo... just you WAIT!
"...and then he just STALKED OFF! So will you help me finish my devilishly awesome pay-back plan?" I finished after explaining the past three years of terror I'd gone through with Lorenzo.
"...Yeeeees, if I knew what exactly your plan was?"
"Okay, thank you!" I grinned hyper-actively to myself. "I need to borrow your camera - don't worry, I need you to do the filming, so I won't be able to break it. I need you to come over in a few weeks and film us for our project."
"...Vladi, you won't damage my camera right?" I could practically SEE Carlo fumbling in nervousness. "I mean, It's my one prized possession, and I'd love to help out with your plan, but I can't put my baby in danger..."
"Carlo, I swear, I won't TOUCH your camera and it will be in your hands at ALL times. I promise!"
"In that case, I'd love to." He chuckled, but I realized he was really going to have to work on his evil laugh. "Slap me the details."
And so, I did.
"Vlad!!!" my brother called me.
Great, just great! I sighed to myself. Another boy come to ruin my day. Fortunately I could get back at this one. I closed my copies, leaving my homework unfinished. I'd already spent an hour at it, what more did they want???
"Yes, Stalin," I replied.
"My name is Stafin," he growled.
"That's what I said, Stalin," I smirked. "You were looking for me?"
He sighed, glaring at me.
"Mum said to tell you that the Harpers are going to be visiting tomorrow," he said, a look of boredom on his face. He hated the Harpers.
"It's an eight hour drive for them!" I exclaimed, my heart beating wildly, wishing he was wrong.
"They just moved into the area," Stafin shrugged.
I closed my eyes. Tell me this isn't happening to me, I begged my subconcious. Tell me this is some horrible dream. Why did HE have to show up? Why now? Why here?
"GOOD MORNING My favourite partner in the whole wide world, whom I love and adore! How fareth thee this glorious morning?!"
I glared at Lorenzo through the strands of soaking wet hair that dripped in front of my face. The whole hallway was staring at me and the mess I was. "Lorenzo, shut you're face before I swirl it," I grouched, giving him my ultimate glare before walking on.
"Oh but my DEAREST Vladi, I have SO many questions to ask you, I respect you so much and look up to you as a woman and a partn-OOF!"
For all clarity, I'd clasped my hand over his whole face, disabling his mouth and eyes, and nose for that matter. In so doing, I'd stretched my arm, pushing him against the locker next to mine.
