The flames, they raged
But she must persevere
So she hiked up the hill
Her legs ached
And she tired
And she wanted to go home
But there at the top of the mountain
She could touch the sky
On the hill lay a nest
And in the nest lay a bird
And it glowed the color of the flames left behind
She looked at the bird and it looked at her
And she opened her mouth and said,
"I've come all this way.
Just to see you. A change I made
and wisdom I have earned,
tell me the path to freedom."
The bird smiled and spread its wings
And it looked her in the eyes and said,
"You've come all this way,
a change you have made.
There's paths a plenty,
but there's a million roads
to go nowhere."
