I open my eyes and sit up in my seat on the plane. Bens sat next to me, on his Ds, playing Mario. I touch the screen of the mini TV on the back of the chair in front. We’re like 20 minutes till landing. Shit, that's gone fast! I plug my buckle in, and make sure my food tray is up. My legs are killing; we’ve been on this plane for 18 hours! The pilot starts speaking telling us to prepare for landing. I help Ben out with his DS, (He’s 9 by the way) and I fasten his belt up making sure he’s secure. We feel the plane drop slowly getting ready to land. I grip Bens hand tight to make sure he knows he’s in safe hands. I look out and we’re metres from landing - We’re now on Australian soil. All the passengers begin cheering, except for me. I’m scared of how my life’s going to turn out, seen as though it all properly starts now.

We eventually get off the plane and rush through security, and out into the blistering sun. Mom said we’ve got a taxi picking us up under our name; Roberts. We find the taxi, and he drives off. I scurry for my phone, in my pocket and draw it out. 37 NEW MESSAGES?! 34 being off Sam. I open them all reading his delicate words. I start to cry, which catches the attention of my Dad in the front seat.

“Hey, hey hey? What’s up?” He looks down at my phone, and just stares at me. “Look, we’ve left the U.K now there's nothing we can do about it. I hate to say this but crying isn’t going to solve it is it?” He’s got a point I suppose, but I’m sad, how else am I to push these feelings away? I wipe the tears from my cheeks, and just smile at him, turning my phone off and putting it in my hand luggage.

The taxi pulls up next to house, with a large green lawn on the front. We all shuffle out of the car, whilst Mom pays the taxi man the fair. We begin to approach the house, uneasy about our new surroundings. We creep a little further towards the door when I hear faint laughing in the distance. A few doors up, I see a bunch of lads sat on a garden laughing, and taking small glimpses towards my family and I. I really can’t be bothered to deal with a bunch of dickheads right now. I just want to settle in. I take my jacket off due to the heat and once again the lads are making noises; Wolf whistles, ooo’ings, and the chants of ‘Take it off’. Yeah mature.

“You got a problem boys? Never seen a girl take a jacket off before, or is it to sexual for you?!” They go silent, except for one, who is giggling to himself. I walk into the house feeling dead proud of my comeback. I revise the house and the rooms and get used to where I’ll be living for some time. I go upstairs and grab the biggest room before anyone else does. I throw my suitcase on my bed alongside my hand luggage and just flopped down beside them. I’m so tired, it’s unreal. I decide to unpack my things, and place them into my wardrobe, until I’m distracted by voices downstairs. I look at my appearance and notice my eyeliner has smudged down my cheek and my hair has decided to go all loose and tacky. I wipe my face clean of the used make-up and put my hair into a messy bun, appropriate enough to socialise with. I walk down the stairs and notice a boy stood in the living room, I walk in and he turns around and looks at me. The first thing that stands out about this boy is his lip piercing and brown eyes. His hair is dark brown and all spiky. He looks me up and down, making me slightly uncomfortable. He looks back up into my eyes and I slowly feel myself melt inside. Liv, stop you have a boyfriend! He walks towards me, only a little.

“Oh hey there,” He says. I just stand there speechless; I really don’t know what to say to him. “Can you speak?” I jump out of this daydream shaking my head.

“Sorry, I’m tired, the plane trip was long. I just keep daydreaming.” Tiredness wasn’t actually the reason; it was him I was thinking about.

“Wow, your accent. It’s, it’s... it’s beautiful.” I feel my face flare up. I shuffle my feet around, looking at them as I do. “What’s your name? I’m Daniel, but you can call me Skip.” He says smiling.

“My names Olivia, but seen as though I can call you Skip, you can call me Liv.” I stand there smirking, whilst he stands there having a small chuckle. He edges closer to me, and we get really close. What am I doing?! I have a boyfriend!!

“I’m sorry Skip, but this is weird. It’s been nice meeting you, but I have to go and urm, finish unpacking. Speak to you another time?” I turn around awkwardly and make my way back up the stairs. I get half way up the stairs, and turn around, and he’s stood in the doorway watching me walk up the stairs. He looks so confused to why I turned him down. I smile to him, and wave at him, but he just turns around and walks back into the living room. Ignorant bitch. I carry on back up the stairs and sit on the end of my bed. I sit there for ages, just thinking about how my life is now going to turn out.

“Ah, I found you!” Skip walks in to my room, and parks himself next to me on my bed. “What a weird way of unpacking your stuff Liv” he says curiously.

“Oh, urm yeah, well I-” He cuts me short from speaking.

“You don’t have to say anything; I know how you were feeling. I’m just some guy who’s appeared in your house and we got a little close. I just came up to apologise about my mates earlier. They were laughing at you and shouting things to you, but if you want me to go, I will, I understand.”

“No no don’t go,” I say shaking my head, “Thanks for apologising on their behalf, that's really nice of you” I look at him again and once again into his eyes. They’re lush. There's something about him that lures me in. I feel him getting closer to me. He leans in and before I know it, his lips are against mine. His warm, soft lips clash with his cold lip piercing. I want to pull away, but there's something about Skip that attracts me to him. I feel his hand move over my thighs and onto my waist. I feel the kiss become more passionate. He kisses me harder and I know straight away that he wants more than just a kiss. I open my mouth, and feel his tongue slowly creep in. I do the same, and every little second of this kiss is special. It’s different to all the other kisses I’ve shared, even with Sam. Neither of us pulls away, until Skip’s phone goes off. The kiss breaks and he apologises. He pulls his phone out.

“What the fuck are you doing James? I’m kind of in the middle of something you dick!” He paces around the room throwing all these words at this boy James.

“Skip, its fine! Leave him; he never knew what was happening!” I butt in shouting; he looks at me and just frowns.

“That was no-one James. Nothing that bothers you,” He pauses, “Yes it’s a girl, is that a problem for you?” - “No James, we’re not doing anything!” - “Maybe it is the girl, but why is it concerning you so much?!” He pauses and looks at me wording ‘Sorry’ I just respond with, ‘its fine’. He winks at me, and continues talking. “Fine, okay then.” He puts the phone down, and slips it back into his pocket. “You coming?” I stand there confused.

“What? What do you mean?” I ask. He goes towards the door and opens it.

“The others want to see you.” He comes towards me, and grabs my hands pulling me up from off the bed. He kisses me again on the lips and we walk out of my room and down the stairs. I open the door and there's four boys lying on my front lawn. Daniel walks up to them and kicks one of them on the shoulder. “Oi!” They all sit up, and turn to me. I stand there uneasily, whilst they just look at me. They introduce themselves to me; their names are Luke, Jai, James and Beau. Beau walks behind me, but I take no notice of it.

“Nice one Skip, you’ve got a beauty here!” I turn to him in disgust.

“Do you fucking mind?” I ask sternly. Everyone just goes quiet. Who does this dick think he is?

“Woah chill out kid, it’s a compliment!” I just glare at him. He walks back to the group and on his way whacks Skip into his ‘parts’. This was all just a bad idea.

“I’m going in. Coming out here was a bad idea. Sorry Skip, but your ‘friends’ are arseholes, and on my first day here, it’s left a bad impression.” I admit. I walk off back into my house. I open the mesh door, and close it behind me taking a small peek back to the boys. Skip’s not there. I look up the road and see him speed walking away. The other four are still stood at the end of my lawn, slowly following Skip. I turn away, closing the door behind me.
