"Oh hey Bella! I'm glad you rang I was going to tell you that..."
"Actually Jake I wanted to ask you something." I interrupted.
"Oh well it's only quick. It's just that you know with that test today, it didn't go to well, I could do with spending more time revising I recon. So I'm really sorry Bella I'll take you out another time yeah!"
"But I thought you said that you did great?" I was really angry now, he was lying again.
"Um yeah I didn't want you to worry. What where you gonna ask?"
"Oh it's nothing."
"Okay! See you tomorrow Bella."
"Love you." I mumbled.
He then cut me off before he had chance to reply. The thing that shocked me the most was that he called me Bella, he never called me Bella. From the first day we met he called me Bell. Nothing else, he told me that he wanted to call me something different to everyone else. He wanted it to be more special when he said it.
I was so confused but the one thing I knew was that he had let me down once again.

Then once again Matt came but this time without John. This was going to go great.

"Hi Bella!" Matt shouted from down stairs.
"Coming, one minute." I replied shoving a jumper over my school shirt.
I then ran down stairs to see him.
"I'm sorry about Jake. I thought I'd keep you company if you wanted to go out somewhere or just stay in?"
"Are you sure? I bet you have better things to do than stay here." I said trying to put him off staying.
"No it would be my pleasure Bella."
'Great!' I thought, 'This is going to go just great!'

I watched him carefully unbutton his coat and slip it onto the end of the banister. Then he slowly untied his laces and puled off his shoes, he placed them side by side next to the door frame. He was still in his school shirt with his black and white tie underneath his collar and he wore his black school blazer over the top and his black trousers dropped down to his ankles.
My dad left to take my brother to his football match so we were all alone and there was nothing I could do about it.
He walked into our living room and I followed him. I sat down while he brushed his fingertips along the photos on our mantelpiece. He took his time looking at each individual photo. There were photos of me and Jake but manly of mum. Matt seemed fascinated by the photos sat there.
I was finding it awkward so I asked if he wanted a drink to brake the silence. Matt didn't want anything but I went to get myself a glass of water.
I took my time getting the glass out of the cupboard but I took even longer filling my glass with water from the tap. I ended up 'accidentally' spilling my drink everywhere. Before I stared to clean it up I thought, why am I avoiding Matt? It was when I couldn't find an answer when I realised there was no need to avoid him. If it was about what had happened at lunch then I didn't need to worry because Matt would have forgotten about that by now.
I totally forgot about the spillage and left the kitchen to join Matt. He was sat there flicking through the television channels.
"Is there anything you want to watch Bella?"
"No, you chose, it's fine."
"How about we watch a movie? Then we can have like a cinema here? Well only if thats what you want Bella?"
"Yeah that would be good! We can watch this." I walked over to the DVD shelf and picked one at random.
"That looks great." Matt said with a smirk growing on his face.
While we watched the movie I almost forgot that Matt was there so it turned out just fine. I sat at the left end of the sofa directly opposite the television and Matt sat on the other side of the same sofa. A couple of times I looked over to watch him and to see how fascinated he was. His blue eyes glared at the television and his chin lifted to around about the height of it. He sat far back into the sofa but he was leaning slightly forward with his back perfectly straight. One time near the end when I peered over to watch him again he was already looking at me. That was another my mum used to tell me:
'Bella thats the best thing you see, when you go to look at him and he's already looking, it's magical you'll find out one day.'
And thats what happened you see it was magical. Although it didn't last long, it felt special. That made me want it to happen with me and Jake. It would have been even better with someone I love. It made me think if it was this special with Matt then what would it be like with my own boyfriend, but maybe it didn't count because I knew Jake loved me.
And as I said it didn't last long and nothing else really happened. He looked away and I didn't dare loom at him again.
When my brother and my dad got back Matt left and I went to bed. It had been a long day so I got to sleep pretty fast. It's like I totally forgot about what had happened and that was probably for the best, it meant I had a goodnight sleep full of sweet dreams.
