it was january fourteen and we were all inside alejandro's house waiting for him to arrive. his mom had him pick up some groceries she 'needed' and we took the time to throw him a small surprise birthday party.
"he's been so sad about the whole situation with leilani it's broken my heart." his mom tells us and i nod. "i can only imagine how you're feeling." she tells me.
"it hasn't been easy, but we told the police about it and they said they'll let us know if they find anything." i told her and she nods.
"i hope those bastards get what they deserve." she says and i nod.
soon we hear the door unlock and we all hide in our spots. once the door opens, we all pop out of our spots and yell "happy birthday!"
he gets scared but then smiles once he sees all of us. "you guys scared the fuck out of me." he says and we laugh.
"okay i'm hungry can we please eat?" mattia says and we all laugh at him.
