7 minutes in heaven

Betty hated Cheryl's parties they always involved some stupid, traditional, trivial party game that she was forced to take part in.

For this particular party, Cheryl had decided on playing 7 minutes in heaven obviously to hide her own repressed sexual frustration.

Betty's hand hesitantly hovers over the bottle as she takes a quick scan around the room looking at her fellow peers.

She spins the bottle watching as it goes round and round in a circle. Watching as the bottle inched closer to Archie making her heart soar, but it doesn't stop there. 

It keeps spinning around until it finally lands on Veronica, Cheryl looks at Betty and says, "Well well well, clearly it's pointing to the new girl".

Betty says, "Um, I'm not doing this." looking shyly at the ground. Cheryl says, "Fine have it your way but the rules say that if you step down, the host gets a turn".

Betty grimaces and says, "Fine we'll see you in 7 minutes". Betty gets up and grabs Veronica's hand leading her into the closet and shutting the door behind her.

"What are you doing?" Veronica asks. Betty says, "When it comes to people like Cheryl it's best to just play by the rules".

Betty says, "Anyways, you wanna play 20 questions to pass the time?"

Veronica smirks at Betty, stepping forward. Veronica places her hands on Betty's shoulders, gazing at her fondly. 

"I can think of a better way to pass the time".

Veronica leans in slowly, wrapping her arms around Betty's neck pulling her closer. Betty gasps softly before relaxing, putting her hands on either side of Veronica's waist. Veronica sinks her hands into her hair as she deepens the kiss. The sensations of the kiss overwhelms Betty, flooding her senses with the taste of strawberry, the warmth of Veronica's body, and the feel of her lips on hers. Betty reaches down to cup the shorter girl's face feeling how warm her cheeks are. Veronica pushes up against her, their bodies impossibly close.

Suddenly faster, Veronica kisses her with more desperation that fills Betty's stomach with butterflies. Their kisses become messy and frantic as if they are in a short time constraint. Betty had never thought that they would kiss again, their first kiss had already blew up her world and had changed everything she had ever known about herself; but this one was blowing her mind. There was no crowd to please, it wasn't for show. It was just the two of them alone in a quaint closet. Any thoughts of a future with Archie or even kissing him had completely left her mind, and all that was left in the moment was Veronica.

Veronica pulls away leaving them both out of breath as the timer on Betty's phone begins to beep. 

"Wow," Betty whispers. The doors of the closet open, the girls step out, returning to the party, but Betty knew that her love life had changed.
