Coming out

"B, are you ready to do this?", Veronica says, turning around in her chair to face her girlfriend. "Because if you aren't we can totally just wait a little bit longer, I'm completely fine with it".

"Yes, I don't want to hide our relationship anymore, I'm not ashamed, I hate having to lie about where I'm going every time we go a date, I just want to be out to my mom so I can be happy with you in public too",  Betty says, "I appreciate you being patient, but I just want to get this done".

"I hear ya, I want it to be over with too", Veronica says, walking over towards her girlfriend, planting a kiss on her cheek.

"My mom should be home in about half an hour", Betty says, walking over to her bed, settling comfortably in the middle of it. "You wanna watch Friends until she gets home?"

"As good as Friends is, I would rather do something else", Veronica says, walking over towards Betty and straddling her. "Besides today could be the end of our relationship if your mom doesn't take it well, I just want to spend this moment with you right now and nothing else".

Betty chuckles shyly and says, "That can be arranged".  Betty pulls her closer closing the distance between them. Veronica's hand's move to cup Betty cheeks rolling over on her side to get more comfortable. Betty turns to deepen the kiss-- 

"Betty, I'm home!" "Come help me with the groceries",  Alice says. Betty groans pulling away from Veronica, "I'll be right there", Betty says moving from her current position and walking downstairs to help her mother.

"Put the milk in the fridge and the fruit in the bowl on the counter",  Alice says turning towards Betty as she comes down stairs.

"Mom, when you're done, can we please talk?" "I have something to tell you", Betty says as she puts away the groceries.

"Yeah sure honey, what do you want to talk about?" Alice says giving Betty her undivided attention.

Betty says, "Hold on, I don't want to do this alone, come down Veronica". 

Veronica comes downstairs moving to stand beside Betty. 

Alice looks in confusion and says, "What's going on?"

Betty takes a deep breath and says, "Mom, I'm bisexual and Veronica and I are dating". "And before you say anything, this is me, I love Veronica, and there's nothing you can do or say to change that". 

Alice looks at Betty and Veronica for a moment before responding. 

"Honey, I love you, I could never be upset about this, I accept and support you and your relationship", Alice says, "Veronica has shown that she really cares for you, and that's all that matters". "You're still my daughter and I will love you no matter what". 

Alice moves over to Betty and Veronica wrapping them in a long hug. "I'm so happy for you guys, Alice says pulling away from the hug, "But if you break my daughter's heart, I will break you".

"MOM!" Betty exclaims. Veronica chuckles and says, "Mrs. Cooper, I promise you have nothing to worry about, I love your daughter more than anything in this world, and I would never hurt her".

"Good, if you guys need anything just give me a holler, I'll be in the basement",  Alice says exiting the kitchen.

"I'm so glad that went well, I was prepared to defend myself and tell her that I wasn't corrupting you",  Veronica says pecking Betty on the lips. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a date with a pretty girl." "Oh wait- it's you".

Betty laughs linking their arms together and says, "Our date awaits".

Betty was happier than she had ever been in her entire lifetime. She had come out and it went well. She didn't have to hide anymore, she could be herself without worrying about her mom finding out and getting upset. B+V had many dates after that, and now Alice knew what really went down behind closed doors, so of course their open doors now. 

A/N- Coming out is hard to do because you don't know what to expect. You are being really vulnerable with the person/people you are telling. Know that you are valid and that you should come out when it feels right to you! I love you all! Also I wrote this in honor of pride month and bc I still can't believe Lili is bi, like it's been almost a week and I'm still shook to the core.
