Isabelle's POV

After spending some time with Olenna and Margaery, I decided I should focus on some training. Sure, it had gotten slightly dark outside but Brienne had always told me that if I had any spare time to work on improving the skill of fighting, even if it was only five minutes, it was better than nothing. I was disappointed with myself for slacking and not training as much as I used to.

It probably wasn't a good idea to train after having two or three goblets of wine, but as long as my vision was clear and I maintained my balance, I should be okay.

The cool evening air hit my face and I sighed happily as I unsheathed my sword and began to fight against an invisible enemy. I lunged, I parried, I used my feet to slide gracefully to the side as I brought my sword up and brought it down diagonally. I loved how my new sword felt in my hands. It wasn't heavy but it wasn't light, it was the perfect weight. It was perfect for the new moves that I had been dying to learn but my Father's sword was too heavy for those sort of movements.

I lost my concentration and tripped over my feet. I swore quietly to myself before standing up again and swiftly spun around. I jumped slightly when I saw Sansa watching at a safe distance.

Judging from the look on her face, she had seen me fall.

"It's harder than it looks."

"Haven't you been training since you were a child?" She asked walking towards me.

"Even the greatest of knights make mistakes. That's how they get killed." I said as I sheathed my sword. "What can I do for you?"

"You can carry on training. I didn't mean to interrupt."

I laughed. "Don't be silly, you didn't. Although, you did catch me off guard."

"Don't let that happen on the battlefield."

"Who says I'm going there?"

"You're a knight. You're going to have leave to fight at some point."

I nodded my head slowly, knowing she had a point. "I guess I better carry on training."

Sansa nodded her head and I moved backwards, unsheathing my sword once more. I continued to work on my foot movement and making sure to keep my balance. I dropped my sword as a dull pain suddenly surged through my arm.

"I'm alright." I said as I saw Sansa rushing forward. "It's the first time training since...Well, since before the sword through my arm but it's also the first time I've properly held my sword. I'll be okay." I ignored the pain and continued to strike the air.

After a few minutes had passed, I decided that I had enough for today, the pain in my arm was getting too much. I sheathed my sword and Sansa walked towards me, gently grabbing my arm. She inspected my arm, making sure I hadn't re-injured it somehow. I looked down at her, my stomach gaining a million more knots than it usually had whenever I looked at her.

"Will you teach me how to fight?" She asked looking up at me.

I was taken aback by her question, I never thought Sansa would be one to want to fight, however looking in her eyes there was something in her eyes that I had never seen before, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

"Why would you want to fight?"

"To protect myself."

"I'll protect you."

"What about when you're not here?"

I quickly cupped her face, holding it gently, staring deep into her eyes. "I will always be here. I spent far too long away from you, I will not leave you again. I swear."
