"Are you absolutely sure? I mean you didn't even want to go to school before this, so what made you change your mind?"

"Friends. I made friends, and I plan on keeping them"

"So, you like this town?"

"No way! I would do anything to leave, but while I'm stuck here I may as well make friends...Right?"

Y/n mother rolled her eyes. The same thought echoed in her mind from the moment of Y/n's birth 'Why was Y/n so...So...Stubborn?"

Y/n was stubborn, and she didn't plan on staying in Derry- Unless...

The door bell rang

Y/n excitedly grabbed her bad and ran to the door.

"C'mon Y/n" Richie said on his bike

"Just you?"

"We're meeting the rest of us losers outside of Bill's house"

"Oh, ok"

Y/n hopped on her bike.

Y/n and Richie spoke of the game Street Fighter, and how they loved it.

As Richie and Y/n arrived at Bill's house, Y/n wondered more about Bill

"He lost his brother not long before you came. His name was Georgie, and he's dead. But, Bill refuses to believe that"

Y/n's heart sank, she knew what it was like to loose a brother. But, not quite the same as Bill's experience

Family issues was not new for Y/n. Y/n had a father and a brother who loved her so much, but Y/n was the product of an 'accidental one night stand'. Y/n was the product of a drunken evening, her mother was a rich, wild, and immature nineteen year old who met a middle class, serious, and mature twenty six year old business man... who was deeply in love with the mother of his son-Y/n's brother.

Y/n got raised by her mother, and stayed with her father, Stepmother and brother once in a while. But, things became bad when her mother and father argued over Y/n's custody.

The moment she last saw her father lingers fresh in her mind.

FLASH BACK:

Five year old Y/n was inside the house fighting with her eleven year old brother, Steve. "No way Steve! Give it back" Y/n cried as her brother took away Y/n's stuffed toy. "Steve! Don't be like that", Her older brother chuckled as Y/n tried her best to get her stuffed toy back. The both of them stoped when they heard yelling-

"She's my daughter too"

"Well, I birthed her"

"Stop being so immature Y/m/n. I was there the day she was born, and I have done nothing but love her and give her everything she wants"

"I have the right to leave this stupid town"

"Please, think about Y/n. She has everything here: A loving father, and an amazing brother who means the world to her"

"Exactly why I'm leaving. I don't ever get enough time with her. Every time she's at my house it's always about her wanting to come back here, I am sick of this"

Y/n and Steve shut the door so they could no longer hear the rants

"Hey sis, I love you. Even when you do move away, I'll love you" Steve says giving back Y/n her stuffed toy

"Even if you never see me again?"

"Even if I never see you again"

END OF FLASH BACK

Bill smiled and waved at Y/n.

"M-morning Y/n" Bill said as he got onto his bike

"Morning Bill"

The two of them exchanged a small smile before getting on the bikes.

As they arrived to the school, Y/n noticed how in this school, everyone was stereotyped.

Everyone in the school looked at Y/n and started to whisper between themselves.

Some of which Y/n could hear loud and clear-

"I heard from one of my friends in New York that she's a major slut"

"I heard from one of her ex-boyfriends that she's an attention seeker"

"I heard from one of her old friends that she's pushy"

Y/n groaned at how wrong those rumours where...She had to stop them, and she could...So she did. She stoped right in front of the source of the rumours.

"If you're athletic ex-boyfriend starts rumours about you, you wouldn't believe them because they aren't true. I am pushy towards myself, but not to others... And I don't believe in the word slut- This is the 80's and I'm pretty sure there are no such things as sluts. If you have a problem with me come say it to my face, because if you don't then that makes you a coward, and you have nothing to be afraid of- I'm not scary" Y/n says bravely and solemnly

The group of girls rolled their eyes and walked away

Bill and the losers who were right next to her smiled as Y/n left the bullies speechless.

"Nice" Eddie says as they continue walking

"Y-You have first period with me, you can walk w-with me if you'd like" Bill says once Y/n puts a few books in her locker

"Sure"

After school Y/n and Bill walked home after the problem with Bowers and his gang

But, there they were again.

"Aww, look Bill likes the new slut" A familiar, tall boy with a blond mullet teased.

"I don't l-l-like h-her" Bill says trying to defend himself

"Your stuttering got worst B-B-Billy. Ha, doesn't that mean you're nervous?" Henry said not backing down from the argument

"I d-don't like s-sluts"

Y/n gasped, 'Bill couldn't mean that... Could he?'

"Ooh, hear that slut, he doesn't like you" Said one of Henry's friends

"Shut the hell up! Why don't you go pick on someone your age? oh, because they must be double your height" Y/n said now full of anger

The Bower's gang looked pissed

"You wouldn't want me reporting you to your dad would you?"Y/n said just before Henry was about to hit her

"You wouldn't"

"Don't test me"

They hesitated, and left.

It was just Y/n and Bill.

"I-I'm s-so sorry, Y/n"

But, it was too late.

"Yeah, see you around" Y/n said gloomily before walking away from Bill

"Y/n! I-I didn't m-m-mean it"

Y/n wondered on her way home why it hurt when Bill called her that- She's been called names by many guys she's liked before, but why did it hurt when Bill said it.

As Bill walked home- He kept wondering why calling Y/n a 'slut' was the most difficult thing he's ever said, and why it stung himself for saying it.
