Chapter twenty-three

Kayla's Pov

*Two weeks later*

It's two days before Christmas and Owen and I get out today. I'm so excited I really don't like hospitals. "Ready to go hun?" Matt asked me. "Yes take me home!" I say with a big smile. He carries the baby and I carry because of my stitches I can't carry anything heavy. We get to the car, Matt puts Owen in the back and I jump into the front.

We get to the house and I walk in and all the guys are standing at the door. "Kayla!" They all yell at me I smile. Next thing I know Skylynn is jumping on me giving me a big hug. "Where is Owen?" She asks me. "Matt is bring him in. Do you want to hold him when he gets in here?" I ask her. She smiles and nods her head. Matt brings Owen in and sets him down, I get him out and I carry him over to where Skylynn was sitting. I sit down beside her and hand her Owen. He wakes up and has this big smile on his face it was so cute.

"Oh my god what time is it?" I ask waking up to Owen screaming his lunges out. "3 o'clock." Matt says rolling over. I get up and pick Owen up. I walk downstairs with him and get a bottle ready. Owens really good for not crying while I'm holding him which is really nice. After his bottle is ready I go back to my room and I lay in bed with Owen and turn the tv on. He's been up three times now so I don't think I will be falling back to sleep anytime soon. He eats about half the bottle and he's out, I get up and put him back in his bed.

"We need to get a house." Matt says rolling over. I just look at him. "I feel bad that Owen keeps waking up and probably waking everyone else up." He says. "But Matt we can't afford a house. I don't have a job and nor do you." I say. "My parents said that they will help pay until we can get on our feet." He says sitting up. "And Kayla don't say anything it's happening. We are going tomorrow to look at houses and that's the end of the story." He adds before I could say anything. I kiss his cheek and he rolls over. I keep watching tv and slowly start falling asleep.

*The next morning*

"Good morning everyone." I say walking into the kitchen with Owen. "Good morning Kayla, and good morning to you little one!" Elizabeth says taking Owen out of my arms. I walk up to Matt and hug him and kiss him. "What time are you going?" I ask him grabbing an apple. "My parents are picking us up at 1:00." He says. "Okay, well then I'll go get ready." I say and go upstairs.

It was 12:30 and I was finally ready to go now I just have to get Owen ready and then it should be 1:00. I go downstairs and he was laying on the floor with Skylynn sleeping so I slowly picked him up and took him upstairs. I changed him and put clean clothes on him and got him ready to go. I packed a diaper bag with extra clothes and bottles. The next thing I knew it was 1:00 and Matts parents were at the door.

We drove around what felt like forever, we had looked at three houses but non of them we liked. We finally pulled up to this beautiful two story building, it was perfect. We went inside and it had just been redone. It was a two bath three bedroom house. It had a nice big living room, kitchen and dinning room. I knew it was the one. "I love this one." I say. "I thought you would. That's why we saved it for last." Matts mom says. I smile and keep looking around. We decided that we were getting that one. We were told we could move in in two weeks. This was super exciting.

We drove back to the house it was about 5:30 so we made it just in time for supper. "Did you guys find a house?" Hayes asked. "Actually yes we did and we can move in in two weeks." I say. I put Owen down in the floor with blankets and go to the table. "When you leave you will come back to see me right?" Skylynn asked. "Of course I will. Maybe you could sleepover one night if it's okay with your mommy." I say, she gets a really big smile and looks at Elizabeth. Elizabeth nods her head in agreement and Skylynn got so happy.

"So have you guys picked a day for the wedding yet?" Nash asked. "No we haven't really had the chance to talk about it." Matt says, Nash nods his head. "You guys are going to be a cute family." He adds and continues to eat. After supper we all sat on the couch and watched tv. Owen was really good he didn't cry very often and when he did it wasn't for very long. Matt and I are very luck to have such a good baby.

(Hey guys!👋 So how you liking it so far?? I'm sorry this chapter isn't that good I was having some troubles writing it but I finished it! My book is almost coming to an end 😔 but I have started writing a new one. I haven't really figured out a tittle for it but I'm on chapter three of it. I will not be updating it until this book is done tho so I will let you know what is called then! Anyway I hope you guys liked this chapter, tomorrow it should be better.)
