With her eyes on the computer screen, Zhulin's mind was on something else. She kept trying to remember what happened the night before. She knew she was drunk to the point she couldn't even remember what she did but she wished she would remember whether they did it or not. She still didn't believe him though. She sighed putting down her pen and went to the rest room. But before she could get in, two people were there. Zhulin didn't wish to eardrop if they weren't talking about her. They were the ones picked on her the day before.
"LingEr, I still can't get over what happened last night? Lu Zhulin is surprisingly amazing." Huajiao, one of the team member asked her friend.
"Seriously, I thought she's single." LingEr nodded. Zhulin widened her eyes at what he was hearing.
"Right, me too. Didn't expect that her husband to be that young and handsome."
Wait, are they talking about Wang Yibo? How could they know about him?
"I think I used to see him somewhere but can't recall."
"He look rich though."
"And so arrogant." Zhulin rolled her eyes before walking back to her desk before she was called by Lu Ying for a meeting along with her team.
"Hey, are you ok? You seemed so drunk last night." Wu Jeng, a chubby boy asked while waiting for Lu Ying. He was a friendliest among the team.
"I'm fine. But I couldn't remember anything. How did I go back home?" She asked sheepishly, scratching her nape.
"You didn't remember? Really?" Xumeng, a girl with bunny teeth leaned over.
"Let me ask something personal if you don't mind." Qian Qian ran to sit next to Zhulin.
"Hm? What is it?"
"How long have you been married?" Zhulin eyes widened at the question. Everyone looked at her waiting for the answer.
"How do you know I'm married?" She asked back. Wu Jeng hit his palm on his forehead.
"You really can't remember anything."
"Last night, your husband personally came to pick you up and..."
"And..." Zhulin bit her lips.
"Boldly, he brought you out, didn't even ask anything, didn't even greet nor introduce himself, just coldly thanked our director and went out with you in his arms. Wow, is he always that aloof?" Xumeng explained. As expected, Zhulin nodded in sorry. That's what she hated the most about him.
"Eh, answer my question." Qian Qian patted Zhulin's shoulder for the answer.
"We got married last week."
"Aww..." Everyone gasped.
"And he didn't tell you what happened?"
"He left early for work." God, she lied again.
"What is his job? Where does he work?"
"How did you meet?
"And..." Before they could throw more question Lu Ying came in the meeting room. Zhulin sighed in relief.
He came to pick me up? How did he know that I was in the party?
"So I'll start." Lu Ying announced after fixing her glasses.
"We're about to have a special magazine project next week, so I'm going to delegate tasks to everyone. So listen carefully, especially you, Lu Zhulin." She said giving Zhulin her serious stare.
"Yes." Clueless, she nodded.
"LingEr, you'll work on the script. Make sure to cut down some unimportant questions for this person since he doesn't like to talk much."
