The newlywed finally finished their honeymoon trip with sad ending. The couple came back home quietly. Zhulin sat down on the couch and closed her eyes tiredly after Yibo dropped her and left for an urgent meeting. It was supposed to be fun though. It was fun but not with him, her own husband. Those three day, he brought her to meet his friends from high school, same age, some Korean some Chinese and it was not surprise when he could use Korean fluently. They're all funny and friendly just like Minghao. Zhulin wondered how he had many friends with that personality but after meeting his friends, she found out that he seemed to be comfortable with them more than his own family.
And those three days, after that night, she didn't even talk to him directly unless it's very important. It felt like a one night-stand although they're married, no love, no feeling involved but purely lust and desire to win over nonsense. After all, Zhulin made up her mind, from right then, it's all for her family, her parents. Everything went that way, she could not change, then she would let it be the way it was. She would be busy with her last year of college, internship and exams, and he would be busy with his work, so they didn't have to talk to each other that much. She didn't wish to live as a married couple anyway, just minded her own business and lived as strangers under the same roof.
After a while, Zhulin got up and changed into loose shirt with shorts before tying her hair into a high bun. She opened an unused room and started to prepare a room for her own. It was big enough that she could divide it into bedding and working area. There's already a bed, a closet and a set of office table, she just needed to move out some boxes and it's done. The packing was all done and it's already dinner time. Zhulin went into the kitchen and found nothing in the fridge beside water. She then grabbed her purse and went to a nearby mart to get some food. Right after Zhulin left, Yibo came back. There's a feeling in the pit of his stomach when he found that she's not home. Her belonging was not in his room either. He took out his phone and called her and the ringing of the phone was heard from the living room. She left it there on the table. Yibo put the phone down, eyes on her phone before roaming around the house. He opened the door of the room at the end and saw a clean room with everything replaced.
Is she serious?
He raised an eyebrow before walking back to his room and took shower. Zhulin came back with grocery bags and started to make dinner, completely ignored her husband who was watching TV. After dinner, she just went straight to her room and started to work. Zhulin was always diligent to what she does, her work came out well and she got many opportunities to experience job since she enjoyed volunteering in anything possible. She's starting her internship the next day while attending her last year in college.
A knock on the door snapped her out from the computer in front of her. She pushed her glasses up before turning to glare at the door. It's too obvious that it was him.
"What?" She asked, shouted. He didn't say anything but knocked again and again until she couldn't stand it. Zhulin opened the door and gave him her cold looks as he stood in front of the room.
"What?" She asked with her stern voice.
"We're going to greet my family tomorrow and your family the day after tomorrow." He informed slowly.
"Thanks." She shortly replied and slammed the door in front of his face. Yibo closed his eyes at the sudden hit, sighed softly to himself. Looked like she was still mad at him after all. Who wouldn't though? But would she keep holding onto grudge like that? Or she expected him to say sorry? Although, he felt wrong, apology was not an option.
************
Walking into the college was always an excited thing for Zhulin. She sighed out all the worries and smiled for herself. Why staying in sadness when you can make a happy choice?
