Chapter 2 of LFAR. Happy Reading! ❤️

~ ~ ~

'What a way to start this day.'

The next day, Suna woke up later than usual because slept on the wrong side of his bed. He almost didn't make it for his classes, but good thing his homeroom teacher was running late as well. Suna was bored and didn't feel like listening to lectures for the rest of his day, and what made it worse was his teachers of each subject gave them things to do like homeworks and some upcoming tests.

The only good side that happened in his school was when his classes were dismissed early and when their coach canceled their practice for today. Instead of joining the boys to hangout and for some snacks before going home, Suna decided to go ahead for his own reasons.

What were his reasons? Well,

The second year middle blocker now finds himself walking towards the park where he first encountered the (H/C) haired girl, and there she was, waiting for him.

She was in the same outfit as yesterday on how they met. The girl may have noticed his presence, making her look up from her phone and flashing a beautiful smile to the middle blocker. The lazy smug on his face made her let out a light chuckle.

"You came, I thought you wouldn't."

"You were the one who told me to be here in your concert.." Suna places his hands on his pockets, looking at the figure beside her.

"Am I right, Kanzaki-san?"

Suna saw how she flinched on hearing her last name, but quickly regained her composure. His brows were narrowed by her sudden reaction, it was like she felt disturbed on hearing her last name. Then it hit him when he realized that she could be spotted by a fan when hearing her name. He said a quiet apology to the girl, making her shake her head and telling him that there was nothing wrong with it.

"So, how did you know I was watching?" He slowly continues, and it made her look up and think for a while.

"I don't know? For some reason, I could just feel it.. Just like soulmates?" She lets out a chuckle, trying to lighten up the sudden heavy mood.

"Soulmates don't exist in this world." He replied, making the girl chuckle more.

"I know, I know."

Again there was an uncomfortable silence between them. They only sat down on the same bench, no eye contacts and no words were exchanged between the two. Suna's eyes landed on the girl's hands fumbling on her hoodie, making him look at her with curiosity.

'Why did you call me up for?' He thought.

"Do you have things to do later?" The (H/C) haired girl suddenly spoke again, looking at his direction.

"Unfortunately, my teachers gave tons of things to do—"

"Well, let's do it!"

"What?" Suna was dumbfounded. He was planning on cramming most of his homeworks when he gets home.

Guess the tables may have turned for him today.

"I'll help you with your schoolworks, we'll do it together until we finish it!" She simply said, standing up from her seat.

"In one condition!" She pauses and takes a deep breath.

"Be my friend, Jelly-chan!"

She said, not making eye contact with the middle blocker behind her. There was a long silence again, only this time, it somehow felt comfortable. Suna simply shrugs, having a new friend could be good for him. The dark brown haired man did turn down the offer of hanging out with his team for the (H/C) haired girl. He lets out a sigh and stands beside her, looking at her direction.
