The two's conversations were greatly interrupted by the honking of a car, meaning the lost (H/C) haired girl coming from the stadium was found. Suna recognized the two muscular men who came to fetch (Y/N), who's eyes show empathy after the hiatus that happened with the girl's mother. The two bodyguards thank the middle blocker for always watching her, and with that, (Y/N) flashed a sad smile to her dark brown haired friend, slowly pulling away from their embrace as the cold welcomes the two.

Neither wanted to let go, but they remembered that this is reality. Anyone cannot always get what they want.

He now finds himself sitting on the doorsteps in front of his house, hugging his knees as he burrows his face down. Unnoticeably, tears start to form in his eyes with a mixture of overwhelming feelings he has inside his heart.

What frustrates him more is that he knew one feeling that lingers inside himself, and it was bitterness.

"What's wrong?" A voice called from behind, making him immediately wipe away his own tears.

"Mom, I'm fine.."

"Those tears are telling me that you aren't, Rintarou."

Silence, and once again his tears didn't stop from there. His mother's face softens, it's been a while ever since she saw that side of Suna. Afterall, he rarely exposed his vulnerable self as he let out quiet sobs to himself, and his mother would always comfort him.

After a while, the fox-like man calmed down. Still hugging his knees, Suna couldn't help but look back on how many adventures he had with a specific (H/C) haired girl. Oh how they were great moments in his life, and his heart aches for more.

Definitely, the middle blocker has grown attached to (Y/N).

"There's this girl I've met a month ago.. and she's leaving tomorrow." He starts a smile appearing on his face, immediately making his mother snicker.

"A girl? I thought you aren't into those things about love.. you're always on your phone!"

"... You do have a point there though." The middle blocker silently chuckles with his mother.

And Suna told his mother about it. He didn't really explain much, that was his type of nature afterall, but it was enough for his mother to know how important this girl must be to her son.

"Are you giving up on her just because she's leaving?"

She asks him after he finishes, making Suna hug his knees tighter. There was a moment of silence between them, and it didn't take a while for the boy to respond.

"I.. don't want to." He admitted as he felt his skin having goosebumps. His mother flashed a warm smile, who would have thought that her own son would have these feelings?

Then again, everyone else knew that all of these are part of growing up.

"Then you must really like this girl, Rintarou.. probably even fall in love with her."

"I.. I do?"

"It's just a mother's instinct, but there's something that's holding you back, isn't there?" There was another pause.

"Mom, what does it mean.. to fall in love.. what is the reason for falling in love.."

Suna burrows his face in embarrassment because of his question, but what surprised him more was the fact that a laugh or a tease never escaped her lips, only to receive something he didn't expect at all.

"Well, love.. in general is really hard to explain. That's because everyone has different reasons to love someone.. or to love something. But one thing I always know is it gives one a heck of a ride when it comes to your feelings, and those feelings will make you realize how much you don't want to lose that specific person." She gives a supporting pat to her son that made him finally look at her.
