Looking For A Reason || Suna Rintarou

Chapter 8

The run through for tomorrow's concert for Hyogo finished after 4 hours, and the other crew members are making sure that their last concert in Hyogo must end like a grand finale with the same energy on how they've greeted the fans.

Right now, there was a struggling (H/C) haired girl with that last part of the song she has been working on literally everywhere, whether it be from her study sessions with Suna to even staying up all night until the girl was satisfied.

Elza always admired and appreciated her sister's passion and diligence. When she noticed her sister's struggles and uneasiness, she decided to come near her, hoping that she could help her atleast a little bit.

"Let me see.." Elza scans through the lyrics, along with the chords and notes written on the papers in front of her.

"Hmm the first parts of the songs are like looking for a reason.." She continues, eyeing the girl who still has the puzzled expression present on her face.

".. how about the last part when you realized the reason maybe?"

And that's when an idea pops out of (Y/N)'s head. She couldn't help but blush as mind may have wondered to a specific second year middle blocker she knows so well back in Inarizaki High, and with that she may have started writing the lyrics she has on her head. After 30 minutes, she was satisfied with what she wrote.

"I think.. I got it. Thanks, Elza." (Y/N) flashes a genuine smile, making Elza chuckle.

"No problemo, sis! Go get that freedom you've always wanted!"

"And, your boyfriend~"

(Y/N) almost choke on her saliva upon hearing that, making her let out a laugh first before handing her a bottle of water.

"I don't think he feels the same way, Elza." (Y/N) only said, continuing to chug down the liquid she has been wanting since a while ago. It's important to stay hydrated afterall. On the other hand, the other twin has never squinted her eyes more than ever after hearing those words from her sister.

Just how long does it take for the two to realize how in love they are? Elza already thought that they were together after today's event, when Suna and (Y/N) went on a date after repairing her guitar strings for tomorrow's concert that is.

"Are ya kidding me? Do you see the way he looks at you? Do you see how much he always wanted to spend time with you? He even protected you from that model boy you told me about.. you even went on a date with him a while ago!"

Elza exclaimed, seeing (Y/N)'s face in the deepest shade of red up to her ears. The two sisters chuckle at their conversation. Elza's face suddenly turned serious, giving her sister a supporting pat on the back.

"If he still doesn't see it, I'll go wang his head for ya."

After gathering all her courage, confidence, and remembering every lesson that she had with Suna when talking about these kinds of matters, (Y/N) went to where her mother is who was checking the program for tomorrow. Her mother definitely noticed her presence, but remained her stoic face, didn't even bother to acknowledge her presence.

"Mom, I finished my song already." She spoke first, making her mom arch her brows with no interest.

"Okay, let me hear it now."

"About that, I want someone to hear it—"

"No, I should be the first one."

"But mom please, he's the rea—"

She was cut off again by her mother slamming her hand on the desk, causing the young girl to flinch. She stared at her in horror the moment she heard the next words that came out of her mouth.
