Chapter 2: Just a normal day

It was 8 AM when Lotte woke up. ''What time is it... FUCK!!'' She was going to be late, as always. Although this was different. It was the first day of school. She grabbed her phone. A message from Tijn appeared on the screen. 

Lotte Where are you!?

Lotte wake up, you're going to be late.

OMG LOTTE NOT AGAIN!!

Yeah, yeah I'm up. Jeez don't worry so much, it's annoying.

Oh... Sorry babe.

 What an idiot Lotte thought, laughing to herself. She grabbed her bag and went outside. She waited 5 minutes until Wout arrived. ''Hey!!'' Wout said with a wide smile. ''Hey.'' Lotte faked a little smile. ''Are you alright?'' Wout asked worried. ''Omg why are you always so ANNOYING!?'' Lotte said. ''I'M COMPLETELY FINE!'' ''I'm so sorry, it won't happen again!'' ''It better doesn't.'' The rest of the ride was silent. 

''Omggg!! Girls over here!''Kim yelled as she saw Indiana and Gaia. Indiana and Gaia walked over to Kim, who was already accompanied by Sophie, Sanne and Guusje. ''I missed you all so muuchh!!'' Sanne said. ''We literally had a sleepover this weekend, Sanne.'' Indiana said while grinning. All the girls were having a sleepover at Kim's house that saturday. Lotte wasn't there, though. Probably hooking up with guys at the club. That probably explains why she's not at school yet. ''Did anyone hear from Lotte?'' Guusje asked worried. ''Ugh, she probably woke up at a random guy's house this morning.'' Sophie said while rolling her eyes. ''Such a whore. I don't get why we're still friends with her.'' I don't get why I'm still friends with you... Kim thought. She had been friends with sophie for as long as she could remember, but she changed. A lot. She didn't want to betray Sophie, she didn't want to leave her behind. Just like they did... Kim shaked her head as the memories started to replay in her head. I promised myself to forget about them, ugh Kim you can't do ANYTHING. ''Uhm... Kim?'' Sanne asked. ''A-are you alright?'' She looked very worried. ''Yes of course! Never been better!'' Kim said while faking a smile. ''Okay, if you say so...'' a little smile appeared on Sanne's face, but it wasn't very convincing... Gaia pulled Sanne into the bathroom. It was silent for a while, until Gaia started speaking. ''Don't worry too much about her okay?'' Sanne nodded slowly. ''I know it's terrifying, but she needs recovery and that takes time, constantly asking her about it won't help...'' Gaia said while pulling Sanne into a hug. Sanne blushed slightly... No, no, no, noooo!! Sanne you idiot, you know you shouldn't! You're just friends, nothing more! She thought to herself while pulling away. Gaia looked at her questioningly. Sanne looked at the ground and walked away. Gaia stood there, disappointed. She will never feel the same way, will she...

Sophie was still ranting about Lotte when Guusje noticed someone she's never seen before. ''Hey guys, who's she?'' She pointed at a blonde girl. She shockingly looked away when she saw one of the girls stared back at her. Did they see me? Do they hate me now? Do they think i'm a weirdo? The thoughts raced through her head. ''I don't think i ever saw her here before?'' Indiana said. Kim looked over at her. ''Me neithe-'' ''HEY GUYSSS!!!'' Everyone looked at where the screaming came from. It was Lotte, just in time. Wout walking behind her. ''Hugsss!!'' Lotte yelled while pulling everyone in for a hug. They hugged for a little while. ''Where are Gaia and Sanne?'' she asked. ''I'm here...'' Lotte looked at where the little voice came from. ''Sanneee!!'' She hugged Sanne as well. Sanne hugged her back. ''Where is Gaia?'' Sanne felt her cheeks turn red by hearing the name. It was silent for a while. ''When are you gonna tell her?'' Indiana said. Sanne looked at Indiana, confused. ''W-what?'' ''Oh come on! it's sooo obvious. You totally like her.'' Sanne looked at the ground. What was she supposed to say now..? ''Wait... seriously!?'' Sophie yelled. ''Are you gay!!??'' She yelled a little harder. ''SSHHHHH!!!'' Guusje put a finger on Sophie's mouth. ''What!?'' Sophie asked, looking a bit angry. ''She doesn't want everyone to know yet!'' Sophie looked at Sanne. ''Well stop being gay then.'' Sanne looked shocked and kinda scared at Sophie. ''W-Wha-'' ''OMG YOU NEVER LIKED ME DID YOU!??'' Sophie yelled in disgust ''What, no!'' Sanne said, still in shock. 

The bell rang and they started walking to their classroom. ''I-...'' Indiana said to Sanne. Sanne looked up at Indiana. Indiana looked in shock at Sanne as she saw she was crying. ''Sanne, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean t-'' ''No... it's alright'' Indiana looked at her in disbelief. ''Really.'' Sanne put a smile on her face. A bit less fake this time. 

The bell rang again and everyone went outside, since it was a sunny day. ''Hey, that girl again!'' Kim said. ''What girl?'' Gaia asked. ''That girl over there, we noticed her this morning.'' It was silent for a while. ''I'm gonna ask her to sit with us!'' Lotte said. ''Since y'all are too scared to walk over to her!'' Lotte laughed and the rest laughed with her. Lotte walked over to the girl. ''Heyyy!! are you new here?'' ''Uh.. yes! I'm Emma!'' The girl smiled. ''Nice to meet you! I'm Lotte. Do you want to join us for lunch?'' ''Really!?'' Emma had a bright smile on her face. ''Yes! come.'' Lotte said as she pulled Emma towards the rest. ''Everyone! This is Emma.'' ''Hi!''
